The Wright Stuff is very Left-wing - they have been campaigning since the show started against The Daily Mail - but not say The Express. The Left focus their hate attacks almost exclusively on Britain's most influential newspaper - and by extension its readers. Matthew (and other regulars) for example, advocate unlimited immigration and will shout down anyone who dares to express concerns about it - calling them racists. The standard Left-wing tactic. “I love this show - wish it was evening viewing, stops...”

I love this show - wish it was evening viewing, stops me from doing my housework, walk, I have to be very strong and turn off. This morning blog re ivf over population of planet completely 100% right don't stop at IVF let us carry on smoking, drinking, enjoying life and die naturally. Life should only be 3 score years n 10 perhaps add on just a few more years while we are healthy then let us go in peace and happiness. This show used to be quite entertaining, but recently the presenter, Matthew Wright has become increasing tiresome. Wright has an irritating false laugh which he seasons every over sentence with. A habit of faking knowledge on many subjects with the accompanying "yeah, yeah, yeah" whenever a panellist makes a point on which he feels qualified to backup. I concur, drives me insane how he laughs mockingly at callers to whom have an opposing viewpoint.
This show is totally dated now.

It is clear to me that shows like the wright stuff perpetuate popular discourses. The discourses in fact that are constructed by the elite and filtered down through gatekeepers such as newspapers and radio shows. It is a myth that we are all able to reaaly share how we feel,dont forget that even the views of the callers are fitered also ,we need to remember who the agenda setters are,who tells us what to talk about? I would like to ask it you ever watch playbacks of your show, but I suppose I would have to conclude that the answer would be in the negative because if you did, I am sure that you would have done something to control the apparent inability of your panel members to allow one person to finish speaking before putting their own point of view, ending in a cacophany of sound where everyone is talking at the same time thereby rendering the programme worthless!
