We bought the Britax Vigour 3 in black the week it arrived in our local store in November 2006 and used it for the first six months after our daughter arrived before we switched to an umbrella fold buggy. We've now got it back out for our second arrival and it still looks good as new.

Despite daily use for the first six months and tyres show almost no wear and the same goes for the fabric, it's really hard wearing, only the frame is a little scuffed.

Good points, can easily fit a car seat or a cary cot when they're little, and the carrycot is more than big enough for thme to sleep in comfortably. Buggy attachment can face either way so great as they grow older. Love the hidden pockets in the buggy and the carrycot, ideal for keys, a phone or spare dummies/hankies.

Handles really well 'off road', we're had it on muddy grass, a sandy beach, going round forest walks with our dogs and it's been totally fine.

The one handed buggy recline was one of the things that sold it for us. Whereas with the buzz it was quite akward and you need two hands, with the vigour you can recline it while you're walking, ideal if you're trying to be sly and convince a little one to have a nap.

Really easy to push/steer, my toddler has been playing with it using her dollies and can handle it easily, the handle also raises and lowers really easily, perfect when you need a pram that can be pushed by a 4ft10 gran and a 6ft5 grampa!

Bad points would be that I think if you're planning on using it for a toddler it's too small, my two year old daughter is too big for it, but luckily is walking and we found umbrella fold buggies easier when she got bigger. Other bad point, it doesn't fold down very small, it took up the whole boot in our astra. But if you take off the buggy part and the wheels it does go smaller, just seems like a big hassle. Bumping down kerbs the front wheel also tends to get stuck quite a lot, but it just takes some practise to learn how to work it properly, either than or lock it. It gets worse as the wee one gets heavier so I wouldn't use it for a toddler.

Overall it's a fantastic pram I'd recommend to anyone, but only if you're not hoping this will last you till your child is four!! Very easy to change attachments, especially clipping and unclipping the car seat. Oh and a really good sized shopping basket with two handy pockets, ideal for spare nappies or I use it for hats and gloves.

My son loves this Britax Vigour 3 Pushchair. I bought it in a sale at 100 pound but would ave easily paid 300+ for it, this pram is stylish, comfortable easy to push, easy to steer with one hand and faces both ways and it never fails to get him to sleep :) The only bad points are - not good for public transport and my son is 2 and it's not gonna last much longer which is a shame.

We bought this Britax Vigour 3 Pushchair for my son when he was born (2008), he is now 9mths. We have been so pleased with it. It is so easy to 'click' into place with the carrycot, buggy and car seat. The base is easy to assemble and is quick. It is not so easy to fold sometimes although I have no problems, it sometimes sticks a little but there is a knack to it so I do not find it a big deal. It is comfortable for my son amd I love the recline and the different positions. It can be steere ...

The swivel wheel at the front of the pushchair sticks at any moment and has caused chaos with my children when crossing busy roads or going down escalators in London. I'm scared to use it and am told by Britax that it is only under warrantly for 6 months! Babies need pushchairs for much longer than that! Shocked and out of pocket! This Britax Vigour 3 Pushchair had failed me.

We bought the new Britax Vigour 3 Pushchair with the Baby Safe Plus SHR car seat from our local store. I also got the matching change bag and cosytoes. My wife and I looked at all the other competitors, which to be honest seem to be too common and have very mixed reviews. We've used our Vigour everyday for 4 months so far and haven't had any problems. It was definately the right choice

Overall the Britax Vigour 3 Pushchair is a cracking buggy (or travel system as its called...). We did a lot of research as Im sure everyone does as these are both expensive and important. We wanted something where you could go semi-off road (eg parks) but still have a good, safe ride on pavements.

    Easy to fold
    Light weight
    Easy to use
    Baby faces me

I bought the Vigour 3 in stead of a Maxi Cozi Buzz mainly because I found the Britax one easier to fold and was better value for money.

I did a lot of research into which pram/pushchair to buy for my first baby. I did not want to go with what everyone else was buying - the Bugaboo or the Quinny because I read many negative reviews, they were too expensive and they have tiny front wheels which I was sure would get stuck on kerbs, uneven surfaces etc and so while great to look at and great if all you ever do is go to John Lewis I knew I wanted to go to the park, on country walks etc. I finally decided on the Britax vigour 3 plus f ...

We researched three wheelers extensively. Our requirements were for:
    1. 3 wheels (large) to enable use on rough ground
    2. Easy to fold and attach carry cost / car seat
    3. Rear-facing or forward facing seat
    4. Storage space
    5. Avoid puncture-prone pnumatic tyres

This pram does it all. One thing to bear in mind when buying, is that folding and unfolding in a shop is not the same as a muddy car-park. The Bugaboo for example would be filthy by the time you have turned it over. The Vigour 3+ is ...

After loads of research, we decided on the Britax Vigour 3, and we couldn't be happier! But this was an arduous process, so I wanted to pass on my experience.

You have to decide what's important to you about a pram. If you use a car then you probably want a system to start with, where the car seat clicks onto the pram which has a newborn attachment. I have also decided it's important to me to have a rear-facing option, as my 4 month old is too big for the bassinet at this point, but I st ...
