“Park and go Gatwick returned car damaged ”

Park and Go Gatwick did not own up to major damage to the car on my return, and left the scene as quickly as possible before we could check the car. The car was black and at night in the badly lit short term car park so we didn’t notice that a tree must have fallen on roof during the recent storm, causing major damage. Their policy says you have to bring it to their attention at the airport, otherwise they are not liable. They should have reported such damage to me as they obviously knew about it. It is dishonest and I feel tricked.

“No telephone contact”

I am unable to contact this company by telephone as the number given is not working I booked with them and they have taken double the amount out if my account I am incredibly worried as it seems like some kind of sham please be careful people booking with this company !!!!

“Convenient and Hassle-free”

Had no issues at all using the Park and Go service at Gatwick this month. The car was collected from the short stay car park within minutes of our arrival. On return (after 10:30pm) we telephoned on collection of our luggage and the driver arrived with the car at the car park at the same time that we did. The car was as we had left it and we cannot fault the service in any way on this occasion. The price we paid was a fair bit cheaper than on-airport parking and collection at the short stay car park meant that we were very conveniently positioned for entry to the airport.

“Not recommended! ”

Awful service, rude on the phone on pick up and collection. Kept waiting by the car on our return for the driver to come with the key. The company is obviously working the staff under extreme pressure. Won't be recommending this company to ANYONE!

“Auful service. It damaged my car ”

Verry poor service!!!!!! I got my car back 30-40 minutes later than advised. My car was returned full of birds feces all over my car. They have taken it to wash but still did not come off. And i was left standing in the airport with no possibility to speak to the manager that day. Ruined all my entuziasm and joy of being on Holiday. I seeked specialised cleaning services but still could not take the feces completly out of the paint. Birds poo has acid and gets deep into the paint, it cant be removed, it just ruins the paint. I talked to the manager who initially told me he will pay my money back and cleaning service but later he only agreed with half of my money back and cleaning. Really bad quality services, you ruined someone's car and negociate the last penny although you are aware it was your service's responsibility to return the car as it was and take responsibility for any damage. Its been a month and still did not get this money back. I am considering legal action and asking my car to be repainted but think this procedure might be very expansive for me and i'm not sure If id get back what i need to put in. My car's price wend down because of this damage,i am really upset with it. I am not sure where exactly they keep the cars but the space does not seem to be an appropriate parking. Just letting you all know so you will not have to go through what i did.

“Should have walked home”

As I am writing this I have been waiting 45 mins to get my car!! I phoned as I got my luggage as requested...... I should have phoned when I was half way across the channel, car may have been her in time if I had!! When I first called Park and Go to let them know I had my luggage and could they return my car they informed me it would be 35 mins, we discussed this for a while before I was told, the longer I argued the longer my car would be.........nice attitude! It's now getting on for an hour and the contact numbers are engaged!! Anybody thinking of booking with P & G, don't, you will be better or walking to and from the airport it will be quicker!!! Don't say I didn't warn you!! Mark from Portsmouth.

“Excellent, faultless service”

I called 10 mins before we got to the short stay carpark (v. convenient) to find the man waiting for us. On the way back, I called again 10 mins before we came out, again the man was there immediately and my car didn't have a scratch on it (bad experience in the past from another company with scratches!!). Would definitely recommend and will now not use anyone else. Very impressed.

Easy to book on line and competitive price. But this company are very poor on customer service. Phone answering whether to drop off or for pick up is poor. Phones not answered, or engaged. Verey difficult to contact either to advise of arrival or after collected bags. As for the promise our driver will meet you in 20 minutes...its fiction. Twice it has been an hour hanging about and always the same lame excuse ...busy traffic which is hard to believe late at night or early morning. My advice pay a few quid extra and get some service.

“Secure Parking?? What a laugh!!”

On arrival there was no one there to meet us, all the customer cars were left unattended for 25 minutes so for the life of me I cannot see how they can classify themselves as secure parking. Driver was rude when I pointed out the fact we had to wait 25 minutes for someone to turn up and told me it was not meet and greet, he was not in the slightest bothered for the inconvenience they had caused us and the fact we then had to rush for our flight. Southampton Maple Manor car park has no toilet facilities but I was told I could go behind the office hut, I hope Southampton council does not find out as that ground must be well polluted by now!! The fact you are parking in the car park of Eastleigh Football Club did not sit well with me and my initial fears were soon realised. My car was damaged by their parking attendants and now they are lying through their back teeth saying the damage was already there, my car is only 4 months old and done only 2,200 miles and treated like a new baby. If Gatwick Parking damage your car you can forget them doing the right thing by getting it repaired. Gatwick Parking (Maple Manor) came up with a photo 1.5 hours after my car had been parked showing the damage but funnily enough they cannot provide a photo of my car when I arrived!! How convenient is that?????? They are cheap but you get what you pay for, I wouldn't trust them to park my push bike. Use them and you will pay dearly for it in the long run.

“Efficient, good value, very polite, on time!”

Really easy to book on line, as cheap as the off site parking. His timing was perfect, the guy turned up as we were told, was interested in where we were going, and took the car away - perfect. He did then tell us that we would have to pay £3 extra to the Gatwick car park to leave on our return. On our return he was honest to tell us that we would have to wait an extra 10 minutes as our flight was slightly delayed, and had caused a bottleneck of cars to be delivered. He turned up with the car at the time he told us, even remembered where we had been and what we had been doing! A really very good service that I would recommend and the first parking company whose name I shall keep.

Terrible, don't book. Had to call 4 times before they picked up the phone, had to wait for 15 min for my car to be picked up and 40 min for my car to be delivered back. When they say 2 min its min 5 and there really is a limit to the number of times you can say 2 mins Honestly the worst meet and greet I've used...... ever.

“I'll get a taxi next time !”

In a nutshell, I called them to say I had landed at north terminal (having double checked) but had not collected bags, While waiting got bags got a call from them telling me to hurry as their driver was waiting. He was adamant I said we had got our baggage, I know for sure I hadn't said that! Rushed with bags to car park, no sign of driver... Tried another car park. Phoned the man, he told md I speak too fast and that the whole thing was a coneye disaster. All mg fault of course. Then established they were at south terminal . He said I had told him I was at the south. I really hadn't as I had especially double checked. He had a heavy foreign accent and he made me very upset , I asked him to stop telling me off. Back in to the airport with the bags, on the shuttle and up to the car park where I duly got my bags. I shall get a taxi next time .

“Gatwick Park and go? No, no, no.”

Wow, I wish I'd found this site before booking with gatwick park and go. Like others, I was duped by the slick website. The testimonials on their website are un-surprisingly good, but I'm guessing they wrote these themselves. (I notice the feedback they invited me to share is not on their website!) Booking was easy, but my concerns started when we made the 15 minute call before arrival at gatwick. The man on the phone struggled to understand English and hung up on me! I phoned again and someone with better English answered. We waited and a man arrived quite quickly. Unfortunately, he barely understood English, had no I.d. Or high-vis jacket etc, nothing to make me feel confident in the professionalism of the company. Still, we left the car with him and went on holiday. I must confess, the kids and I worried about the car all holiday. On return the phone call was ok, again there were issues with language, which you wouldn't expect from customer services....maybe I expect too much these days! When my car turned up, the driver was shifty and eager to leave. He knew I would not be happy. My 4 by 4 looked like it had been off-road racing, covered in mud and dirt. He said he didn't understand me - yet again, not English speaking...allegedly! A car pulled in to collect my driver, who got in and left, while I was still trying to talk to him! Wow, talk about taking your money and running. as a woman alone in a car park with 2 small children I felt as if this company had abused my trust and were not listening to my complaint. At that moment I felt extremely vulnerable. To top it off, when I turned the engine on, my petrol had gone from half full (as I had left it at gatwick) to virtually empty. When I phoned customer services, I was told to email them, they did not want to listen and have never replied. Next time we will park our own car and pay, like we have in the past. It's safer, easier and you can go on holiday without worrying.( Thinking that a pick-up service would be a luxury was a big mistake.)

“Not acceptable”

The driver who picked up the car was 30 minted late. Making our check in and pre - flight tasks very difficult. My wife is also pregnant so this caused he some pain trying to get through security, check in quickly. TERRIBLE COMPANY THAT DID NOT OFFER AN APOLOGY OR REPLY TO MY LETTER. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Received an email from these idiots a mere 16hrs before our flight advising us that due to lack of space they could no longer honor our booking and went on to wish us well in our pursuit to find a suitable alternative. Thanks for that!!! This was over a month ago and we have yet to receive our refund as promised! Avoid at all costs as they are useless.......

We have just returned from holiday and parked our car at gatwick north terminal using park and go. On arrival to the airport we rang 15 minutes before our expected arrival as asked to do so on the paperwork, when we got to the correct area we unloaded our luggage and our baby and had to wait a further 30 minutes! We called twice to be told 'we are on our way'. A man strolled up to us and had no high visibility on or any I,D like the rest of the companies that was there. I already felt extremely uncomfortable and now I felt even worse. He didn't apologise or say anything. In a rush as we had a crying hungry baby and needed to catch a flight we just left to head in to the airport. For the whole holiday I was worrying about the car and it completely ruined my holiday. When we landed we called to say we had collected our luggage and was told a 15 minute wait, again at 2:30am with a young baby we wasn't to happy about this. We then had to wait a further 25 minutes, when our car turned up it wasn't even parked in the car parking space properly and left running. A driver jumped out and demanded for our receipt, we had the paperwork we was given when the previous driver took our car which had the make, colour and regestiration of our car on it. The driver didn't seem this was enough but finally took it and just walked off. We now know why he didn't turn our car off, the key had been broken completely and the remote central locking no longer works and the metal part of the key was wobbling all over the place. We stopped at a service station on the way home and the metal was left in the ignition and the plastic came flying off! We are not impressed at all with this service! Park and Go will be getting several emails and phone calls today. Also we was told that the company was better then the rest as you don't have to pay for the car park... WRONG you still have to pay your £3! Will never use anything like this again!

“DO NOT USE GATWICK PARKING SOLUTIONS”

GATWICK PARKING SOLUTIONS - CRASHED OUR CAR AND THEN REFUSED TO PROVIDE INSURANCE DETAILS OR REPAY THE £800 DAMAGE. In may 2014 we used gatwick parking solutions. Booked online and someone was there to collect the vehicle when we arrived. No issues so far.... We came back on a late flight and landed at around 01.20 am so I called them and said we needed to collect our baggage and go through passport control so expected to be in the car park in around 30 minutes. I was told that this was no problem and that our car was third in the queue to be dropped off so I thought the timings would work out as they are supposed to be only around the corner. We waited in the car park..... Still no car. At around 02.30 I called again and was told that they would find out what was going on and they asked me to call back in a few minutes. I noticed another couple waiting in the same area who seemed to be getting increasingly frustrated on the phone to someone. I asked if they were also using GPS and they were. They told us that they had been waiting since midnight and that the company told them they had lost their car! Apparently the company had the car keys were struggling to locate the car?! I called back after a few minutes and they said my car would now be another 30 minutes away taking us to 03.15 am. We continued to wait and heard the other couple arguing away about their car. Between being hung up on every few minutes they were now being told the car had been located in a carpark 40 minutes away. The couples car turned up at around 03.30am with a sheepish looking driver. When pressed he started saying that the cars had been moved to another car park further away and we'e usually brought to a closer car park the day before the customers flight was due. The driver then said he couldn't say much more as he worked for a different company! He had been hired to step in to move the cars as the company GPS had gone bankrupt??? This was all getting seriously odd. I asked where our car was and he replied that it had left around 15 minutes behind him with another driver. He the sloped off saying he had other customers waiting and our car would be along shortly. I kept waiting for probably another 20 minutes and called the number again. Someone was saying they were in our car by the entrance to gatwick and waiting for the driver to pick it up? Again that seemed odd to me. Our car arrived at around 04.00am with the same driver from the other couples car was quick to try and handover and runoff. I examine the car and saw a dent and scrape above the drivers front wheel. The driver claimed ignorance and said the company needed to sort it out but the office was now closed. I demanded they provide some insurance details but he couldn't provide anything. I was told to call the office in the morning. The next morning the main office number went through to the person driving the cars who said I should email them. He couldn't give me a number for anyone in the main office to speak to. He then hung up on me and has refused to discuss it further. The email hasn't been answered and I'm now going to have to try to recover £813.00 of damage from the company. Bottom line, smart website with dodged goings on behind it followed by a lack of care after they caused £800 of damage to our car.

Great service. Easy to drop car off. Didn't realies they need you to arrive dead on the time you enter on your booking. Normally I just call when I'm 10mins away. But regardless of this the service and instructions were spot on. Very good price too. Thank you

we used gatwick park and go a couple of weeks ago we were met at 3rd floor of [park park 6 at the exact time we waited for a couple of minutes at most ....the gentleman wa from czech republic and very courteous .....took car away for one week and we arrived back at midnight which was slightly later than anticipated we called the number given to us and waited no more than 15 minutes for the car to arrive with the same gent who again was very nice and attentive even offered to pay the car park one pound but we refused as the price was very reasonable (£38 for 7 days )for a meet and greet cant find anyone better than park and go
