I've had this kenmore 600 series washing machine for 2 years. Replaced after my 20 year whirlpool. (I think it was repaired only once.) Anywho, this thing is SO DAMM LOUD!!!! It has been that way since day one. Leveleling it does NOTHING! Which sears should have done when they dropped it off..... Just now, I could hear it banging and literally jumping off the cement floor way upstairs. Does the trick but expecting to replace soon. Cant fit the cool front loaders, or I would have gotten that. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS piece of POSSESSED #%$@&*!%...... I have to go my whole house is rattling.........

Bought a Kenmore Series 600 washing machine...it's noisy and smells after a wash and now after only 23 months we smell oil burning.....I will never buy a Kenmore...washer again.
It costs $300 labor plus parts to repair so cheaper to buy a new one......I will not buy a Kenmore unless I get it for FREE....

We have had this kenmore 600 series machine for about two years. It washes well, but recently we have noticed a bit of oil coming from the washing machine. Upon researching this further, it appears to be a problem with the transmission, meaning a costly repair, which is not covered by warranty since we didn't buy any thing more than the standard one year, or simply getting a new washer. It was definitely not worth the money, and I am very disappointed in the Kenmore name.

This washing machine is great in my opinion. It can wash big loads with no trouble. It has 4 dials for you to set each load to which is absolutely amazing. You have numerous choices for water temp, water levels, 1 or two rinse cycles, and then the many washing cycle options.

It isn't a silent machine however it doesn't sound like a train or a plain as some refer it to.

I am selling my machine because we have bought a new home and i was suprised to hear that the machine had such a poor rating ...

I bought the Kenmore 600 washer and dryer as a set to replace a set of 10 year old Maytags (bearing went out in the washer). I have now suffered through 18 months of the noisy monster of a washer. it is totally riduclous! You can hear it from the front yard!!

Right after we bought it, we had Sears come out because it was leaking a lttle bit of water on the floor every time we used it. They said something was wrong with the transmission and they replaced it.

    I thought i had the only " ...

We boght a Kenmore 600 series just 2 years ago when we built our house. after just a year the rinse cycle would come on and stay on! If we left the wash on in the morning expecting it to be done when we returned from work - we'd come home to hear constant water running into the machine. The water obviously evactuates too, but the water will run until you physically turn the selector switch. Now with just 2 years in, the dryer started making a smell of something burning and the drum just dropped ...

This Kenmore series 600 washing machine is just junk. I'm surprised that Sears sells such a low quality appliance when it stresses customer service and satisfaction. This thing clunks, clangs, and finally it just quit . We've owned the washer for eighteen months. I will never, never purchase an appliance from Sears and will start a word of mouth campaign against Kenmore and Sears. I've been a Sears customer for over thirty -five years and this is a sad ending to what once was a valued relationsh ...

My Kenmore 600 series washer is rubbish!!! You can't balance it,
it klunks and jumps. I have been a homemaker for 36 years and have never been this disappointed in an appliance. It's extremely noisy, I don't just mean loud. It makes clunking sounds, scraping sounds, clicking sounds, but it does go through all the cycles to fill and empty. I may just have a lemon, but afer paying for the washer I dont want to be ripped for a service call also.

The occasional off balance banging when the Kenmore 600 Series washing machine is spinning is so loud you can hear in throught the sound proof laundry room. This banging prompted a service call and I was told for the low cost of $75 that there is nothing they can do about it.

The liquid bleach holder lets bleach trickle all over the clothes. Better to add bleach while the water is filling then put the clothes in.

I bought the Kenmore 600 series washer about 2 years ago. The loud "banging" noise has been there since day one. It is so loud I can hear it throughout the house even though I have the laundry room door closed. It is annoying enough I am definitely going to rid myself of this machine even if I give it to the Salvation Army.

When agitating, not during spin cycle this machine can be heard "banging" from all over the house, have never heard any washer do this. Salesman said he has heard "comments" on the noise but knew nothing else. Talking to Sears Canada they knew nothing as well. Just bought the three year "total" warranty so as to not worry every time it's on. Washes well, but the banging is too much.

Kenmore 600 Series- People here saying this machine is noisy are crazy. They must be expecting complete silence when the machine is running. I just bought a brand new Kenmore 600 washer, hooked it up, threw some clothes in it, set it and let it go. It ran VERY quiet I thought, even the spin. The most noise it made was when it transitioned between cycles, but they ALL make a little click when they do that. Overall, this is a very nice machine and I'm quite happy with it. I would definitely recomm ...

Luckily, I didn't go by the negative ratings/comments on this site with regards to this washer, as I would have missed out on a great washer. I landed a smokin deal at sears of a price of $389. People are saying it is loud/noisy... um, it's a washer with moving mechanical parts.....

    Great washer!

I was worried about buying this Kenmore 600 Series after reading the previous reviews. Others claim machine is very noisy. My machine is not that noisy. It makes a little noise while washing, but not a whole lot. It was very noisy and loud at first, and then I leveled the machine, because the back was 1 inch lower then the front of the machine causing the load to be out of balance. It was real easy to level with the self leveling legs, and is now quite quiet. I love my new machine. It does ...

Ive had this Kenmore 600 Series for a while now and have had no problems.

I bought my set at sears and the only problem i had was the dryer was smashed in when i got it home and opened it up like something had been dropped on top of it. No problem though just called sears up ,bitched till they gave me a discount and then they gave me another one. I don't do laundry thats why i have a wife, but she likes them too! You gotta keep in mind on these review websites, No one ever writes good reviews t ...

My Kenmore 600 is so noisy it to the point I think it is going to break down any moment, and I just bought it. I would not recommend it to no one and wish I had done some research before I bought it. Wish I could return the thing!

I definitely do not recommend people to buy a Kenmore 600 Series appliance.
It is noisy, spinning cycle is lousy, no warm water can be obtained and it is too expensive for what you get.
