My wife wanted to buy her first new car after suffering years of bangers. I thought a private plate would be a nice touch. I found this site, entered some suggested numbers and letters and hey presto the suggestions popped up. I chose, sent an email to get a bit of guidance and followed the simple process. I picked this company after Googling the number I wanted. I paid by credit card but within 2 hours I had a call to say I couldn't have the number on the car I wanted as it was age related. OK, my fault for being a bit dozy but when I said I would cancel the order, I was informed it would cost me £65 in cancellation fees ! I think this is a completely outrageous amount and while I admit I made a mistake, nothing had been done to warrant any charge. I didn't want to pay this 'fine' and so... (read more)

When I first phoned up about the number plate the lady I spoke to was very helpful.I asked if I could pay for it over a couple of weeks as I did not have the full amount in one go.[name removed] who I was talking to explained that I could pay for it over 3 instalments,so we arranged the price of the plate into 3 instalments.After each payment I was sent an email with how much was left.When the plate was paid for it took about 12 days till the plate was on my car .I am really happy with the... I do recall speaking to you about your order. 2 confirmation emails were sent to you - one was an automated email and the other was sent when your order was processed on 13th February. As per our conversation, I cannot explain why these emails did not arrive. I can only think that they perhaps landed in a junk folder.
Having received your email query, I telephoned you to confirm your order on the phone.
I have also checked your original order details, to see if we missed the alternative shipping address. However, both the addresses you entered when you placed your order online are the same. No alternative shipping address was entered.
I am sorry that your experience with us what not as smooth as we'd like. But I hope your fiancé was happy with his gift, and that he enjoys it for many years to come.

Brilliant service - the paperwork was sorted within days of me sending in my documentation, and the plates and updated documents arrived shortly after. Considering the estimate for the process was 5 weeks, I was really impressed. The plates themselves are fabulous and I was kept updated of progress throughout, with acknowledgement emails at each stage.
