    Good Points: Very good for first time car.
    Very reliable.
    Cheap on parts.
    Cheap on fuel.


    Bad Points: Tend to burn oil.
    Back end start to wear out around 150k.
    Arches rust out too quick.


    General comments: Lovely car very basic so nothing goes wrong, and if did chep to fix
    Good mpg around 38-45 mpg.

    The Ford Escort 1.3 GL is OK, basic but thought out OK.
    The engine is the real killer here, mine decided to drop a push rod and cost me over £800 to put right GRRR...
    The fuel economy is good on these too.
