Good Points: Midi file recognition and creation. Easy to format pages. Recording. Extremely user-friendly. Composition doesn't get any easier than this.
Bad Points: There could be a quicker way to input note after note when composing. It could also be that I just haven't figured it out yet!
General comments: I tried many different composition programs before I finally settled on this one. I find it the easiest to understand, without complicated features designed, seemingly, just to frustrate the user. I use this software primarily because I play in a band where everyone but myself plays by ear. If it's a cover song, I can open an existing midi file it with Notation Composer and see each individual track. Being classically trained, I can sense all the parts with my eyes AND ears and from there I may develop a part for myself. Of course, the quality of the midi file is of the most importance. If I'm simply composing something of my own, this is the easiest and most enjoyable program I've found to put my thoughts down on the manuscript.

The basic music display is with score or parts, as a musician would find easiest to work with, but it uses a neat way of showing piano roll, and velocity info note by note when required for mak ...
