Absloutely love this phone. Had it for over 2 years and had the original N95 with a 4gb card. Ther sound quality is BETTER THAN AN iPhone! My friend has an iPhone and we plyed the exact same song together and my phone was sooo much better. Because I'm a lazy guy and can't be bothered to go and buy an iPod I use it for music and have found that the best eature on the whole phone was the slide out music area. MINDBLOWING. I have owned iPhone 3GS & 4, BBerry Torch 9800, SErricson Satio, SErricson X10 & X8 but i still prefer this phone. Nokia keep up the good work.
PS: I would love to see a touchscreen version of this phone.
PPS: This phone looks astonishing in white

I have owned the Nokia N95 8GB for the past year, the phone is excellent overall however does have some flaws...

- Poor battery life (Needs charging almost daily)
- Bulky Design (Creates a noticeable bulge in coats/pockets)
- Slow USB transfer speeds (Copying 5GB of music takes around 2 hours)
- Slow response times (Opening Menus, Messages, Music, etc.. you will notice quite a lot of lag)

I wouldn't recommend this phone for personal use, its more of a 'business' phone - their are cheaper (and better) alternatives for personal use.

★★★★★

written by shatrunjaytayal on 18/02/2010

N95 8Gb, the first 5 Mega Pixel camera phone manufactured by Nokia.

From listening to music, watching videos, Wi-Fi, a 5-megapixel camera, to finally GPS Navigation - Nokia's N95 does it all.

It also helps in browing the internet and i even use it for chatting. install applications like Fring and do voice chatting. so it reduces headaches of buying or using headhone and mic. It does much more than that.

Amazing battery life, and the awesome wide screen size of 2.8 inch makes it easier to watch videos. Music, File and image management is so eay with file management application.

Not only this with 8GB memory it can be used as a portable storage device, which is very very hady most of the time.

I have tired many other phones, but i have kept coming back to N95 8GB. So far Nokia's best phone.

“I have been a loyal Nokia client for the last 10 years...”

★★☆☆☆

written by beardlocks on 16/09/2009

I have been a loyal Nokia client for the last 10 years and only had one other phone (A Motorola) because of their great features and reliability. However the Nokia N95 8Gb has let me down horribly because of the worst batery life I've experienced in a cellphone, software freezes, a barcode reader that don't work, a GPS system that can locate street names from 12000km away but not 5km away (by the way the GPS signal is unreliable and don't think you can retain signal for more than 20min), its web browser is rubbish and most mobile phone software is incompattible with the handset! I would have liked to know beforehand of the countless useless applications that the phone has that obviously increases the price but not its functionality.

Wow! what can i say, this phone is absolutly brilliant! I normally tend to get drawn in by the more over fancy looking phones but this time i decided to go with a recommendation and get the Nokia n95 8gb and wow simply brilliant. Packed with features and very easy to use. The music software is very easy to use and don't you don't need a computer science degree to use. Initially I didnt think it was a particularly good looking phone and to be honest i thought i was abit on the chunky side but not long after having the phone the looks have grown on me an as for the size i think its perfect especially for texting and general operation. I can't see myself trading this in so some time 5 star all the way!

written by scyther666 on 25/01/2009

Bought the Nokia N95 from phones4u bout 7 months ago on Vodafone. Generally a great all-rounder smart phone, all features conveniently packed into one matt finish phone. Didnt give me problems until 3 months ago when I installed a couple of maps on it for Nokia Maps. It seems the phone prefers to run smoothly with just the bare essentials when it comes to software. And then came the dreaded "Start-up failed, Contact Retailer'' I used the phone via Data Transfer to upload a couple a pics as attachments in my email. It turned OFF and then the error mentioned earlier came on and wouldnt go away. The same thing happened to two of my matez N95 8gbz, and fixing this problem is time-consuming when it comes to legality and stuff. Other than that, by far, the best phone out in the market, compared to the iPhone or N96 and who knows which other phones.....

Nice stylish looking phone. Big screen. Perfect for texting. I just love it. It is the best phone I have ever owned and I have had quite a lot of mobile phones over the years. It was great to have
A keyboard.
After recently having a touch screen phone, it was to nice to have
A keyboard for texting again. In my opinion touch screens are not really suitable for texting. It made me so frustrated. So pleased to get back to normal again. Thank you Nokia, I will stay with your phones from now on. It was so easy to operate and understand.

For everyone who complains about battery life, size of the phone etc, buy a mobile phone. The Nokia N95 8GB isn't a mobile phone, it's a smartphone and the rest. Its a camcorder, music player, camera, portable computer/web browser, satnav oh, and a phone too! I have this phone through O2 with a data usage bolt on which really brings the phone to life, don't even consider it without a data tariff! I post to my Flickr, check my emails etc with ease. There is also an incredible array of free and paid for apps such as a geotagging program to geotag photographs. A port of Quake 2 and DOOM is available along with a mega drive and SNES emulator. This is a phone for someone who loves to tinker and add new features to an already feature packed phone!

Top quality camera, I no longer use my digital camera which cost me £425. I have taken photographs in all light conditions and this is brilliant, comes with a usb cable which i do direct printing with my Epson R300 printer at A4 the pictures are perfect. The menu system is easy to use, you can do what you want easily with this phone. My signal is the best i've had with any mobile i've owned and most of those were Nokia. Overall i would say this is the best phone i have owned, i had a k850i before this and the camera was rubbish, my photographs were out of focus and grainy.

“I got the Nokia N95 8GB as a free upgrade on the 3...”

★★★★★

written by Stephanie1979 on 25/06/2008

I got the Nokia N95 8GB as a free upgrade on the 3 Network complete with the entire Spiderman 3 film already loaded.
My previous phone was an N73 which was atrocious & wouldn't send messages after only owning it for 6-7 months.
So far with this phone, no major problems although when I first had it, it constantly had problems reading the SIM & for some reason if I didn't use the phone for about an hour would come up with "SIM Registration Failure" which mean pulling the battery out & giving the SIM contact points a little rub to make it work.
Now, it has stopped doing this although I am not entirely sure why.

The only other problem I've had, is that sometimes flicking through the photos, it has frozen & can only be fixed by pulling the battery out. Thankfully this doesn't happen too often.

Other than these niggles, the phone has been fine. I read a lot of reviews about the poor battery life but it hasn't really bothered me too much as most phones I've owned, I've had to charge every couple of days depending on use.

I like the that the actual phone memory is large as well as the Mass Memory, as the texts are saved to this. Although I have about 3000 texts on my phone, there is still plenty of room. Unlike with other phones, which constantly say "memory low".

Camera is also excellent, even on the lowest quality setting.

The sound when listening to videos, music etc is very good due to the speakers on either side of the phone.

I've only owned this phone for about 2-3 months so haven't had a chance to play with all the applications on it (there are LOADS!) but all in all it seems to be a great bit of kit & the previous N Series problems appear to have been ironed out.

The Nokia N95 8GB is a great phone with too many features to list. Might seem a bit pricey but it's well worth it. The best feature would have to be the WI-FI. I've never had to pay for internet or check email on this phone. There's always free WI-FI somewhere; home, work, collage, pubs, around the city. Some people say it might be a little slow but it get's faster when you update it's firmware (highly recommended)
