My wife and kids are supposed to be in the last night flight. But when we went for Boarding at Etihad Airways they declined to board us saying we don't have the confirmation for Abu Dhabi - Trivandrum connecting flight. They ask me to go to American Airlines to resolve. When i went to AA, they told AA system see my tickets are confirmed and asked me to go to Etihad. When I received my credit card statement I discovered two separate charges - one from Cheapoair and one from the airline) that totaled more than the original stated cost. They don't respond (at all) to emails; their chat facility is a time consuming and very unrewarding experience - just lengthy delays and broken promises. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I booked flights too & was ripped off. When I tried to get a refund for their dodgy website, they also promised it, but after carrying out their instructions when I called back they denied they every promised me a refund. The girl who made the promise was sitting next to the guy who took the call & denied every speaking with me. My flight went unattended & cost a small fortune for something that I could not do anything about. They said "they dont give refunds" bsut yet they could not get me a flight I wanted. Its just a TOTAL RIP OFF - STAY AWAY FROM CHEAPOAIR

Any service fees, taxes or additional services may also show as separate charges with the description of Airline/Taxes and Fees. I have contacted your billing department - several times - and never received so much as a reply despite six weeks elapsing since first contact. The Customer Service rep on chat told me that was because you were 'busy'! He also promised a refund of the extra charge within 2-3 days; that was over 17 days ago. Attempts top find out what is going on result in promises to transfer me to the same agent; have him call me back; or just cutting me off without any explanation. There is no excuse. It's theft if you take money you are not entitled to.

Found a great price of £141 on line for two flights to Belfast. When I tried to pay there was no option for a debit card and a £28 charge for a credit card. I rang CheapOair and the operator tried to tell me the price was £168 inclusive of taxes. I would also like to mention that there should be no hidden fees in your purchase, therefore we would also like to address. As for the changes, the airlines make the changes to the flights not the travel agency, therefore we contact you via email prior to accepting any changes on your behalf. If you decline the changes, we notify the airline and it appears you are on Virgin America, that you do not agree and we go from there on other options. However, the airline does not allow the customer to make "voluntary" changes on non refundable tickets, so if the airline employee advised you of this, that is a mistake on their part, and perhaps speaking with the airline supervisor would get them to stand behind their comments. Please email our priority customer service team and we will certainly review this and see what else can be done.

I was on the site Saturday booking fares, but every one I chose that the site said was available came back as rejected because of some reason or another. I tried quite a few. I feel that overall air services are getting worse and worse. The prices are going higher and higher, on the other hand the privileges are going lower and lower. As far as this particular trip on Apr 14 was ok. I survived, but was unable to travel with two pieces of luggage, unless paying over $100.00. This is completely out of reasoning. We have requested you to forward the booking number so that we can address the problem with you. As mentioned by others, the airline imposes a change fee and that you have to pay in order to use the credit. If you move to December, one of the busiest times of the year to travel, you also have to pay the airfare difference. You've been explained how the credit is to be used, and it is in our terms and conditions that you agreed to when you hit submit, that the credit is only valid with the airline you purchased the ticket on, that's not a CheapOair.com policy, but every travel site out there. I'm very sorry you had a change of plans, and we will also certainly address the agents service level once we have the details of your reservation.

I should have not bought a ticket from this website because I don't even know if I can fly out of the country now. I specifically asked for those dates for a reason. Check airline website first!! Found the same flight cheaper through airline website. My fault for not checking - so learn from my mistake. Cheapo refunded part of the overprice but not all. Will go direct next time! (read more)

I will NEVER use cheapoair again. I booked a return flight to Bangkok, and other than some minor itinerary changes for my flight to Bangkok the trip to Asia was fine. The return trip however was not. I received an email about 1 week before my flight date telling me that my flight had been cancelled and that I had been rerouted on another flight - one that would add 6 hours to my total travel time (that was already a 22 hour day). I give full credit to cheapoair for contacting me after my posting of this complaint. Due to the time elapsed since my experience occurred (my trip was a year ago but only found this blog recently), I was not expecting any kind of compensation, though they did ask what I expected them to do to resolve it. Unfortunately, even though they were very timely and forthcoming with addressing my concerns on the issues once I posted them in on consumer review boards, that does not change the experience that I had and my inability to find someone to deal with the issues at the time they were occurring. Damage control after the fact does not replace good customer service at the time of services rendered, so while I appreciate their reaching out to try and rectify/understand my complaint, I still would not recommend their services.
