Good Points: Outstanding 50mm 1.7 lensLightweight body, smaller than many manual 35mm SLRsLarge, bright viewfinderMechanical operation, not battery dependent, except for meter Bargain price
Bad Points: Body not professional buildMeter not especially durable(on mine, anyway)
General comments: I bought the Vivitar V3000 camera and lens as a kit in 1995 for $150 new as a learning tool and it served that function very well until I upgraded to a canon A-1; if you find this camera with the excellent Vivitar 50mm 1.7, don't hesitate to buy, as you'll be more than satisfied with this sharp, contrasty, low light lens for the money.
