I've had this laptop for nearly 3 years now and have to say that I am really happy with it. I take it to work on the train every day, and for 2 years it was my computer at work. The size of the laptop makes using it on trains very easy, and the speed and power of the laptop makes it a great computer to work on. I am a Java developer, so I need a decent spec computer to work on.
I have had one problem (actually two, but I'll explain ...) with it that needed a technician to come out and...

So my shiny new laptop is not so shiny and new anymore, but is still going strong. The screen is overall very good and copes with HD well. The battery life is awful though, and that lets the system down. On my 2nd battery already and I only get about 30mins use out of it. Poor. (read more)

Excellent laptop with easy to use keyboard - no more hitting wrong keys! It is so quick it is mind boggling! I bought the RED Dell XPS M1330 - Microsoft has teamed up with Dell to produce this very superior laptop and part of the purchase price goes to fund Aids which is such a good cause. (read more)

Had this baby since last November. It worked great 24/7.
Recently there were problems with video card, so an engineer from Dell came next day and replaced the motherboard under warranty. Fast and efficient.
He accidentally damaged a webcam cable so he is coming today to replace it...

Excellent quality/price, I love specially the size 13 inches and widescreen, the keyboard is handy, the quality of the screen is excellent, it is really fast, good battery life with bigger battery. It is relatively light. I'd buy it again. (read more)

Excellent machine - very quick, fantastic display (despite my doubts, 13.3" really is enough), very light, well made.
Neat touches include the media remote, the slot loading DVD and the Wi-fi network locator.
Despite initial qualms, Vista runs beautifully on this machine, with a very fast boot-up / power down (much faster than my quad-core XP Pro based desktop) and very stable.
A great machine for a very reasonable price.
It really hits the 'sweet-spot' in terms of its size / weight and...

overall I would say for a gaming laptop, the money you pay you get good value for. Especially if you do not plan to take this laptop far from home. If you travel alot like me, then do your research and go for something more portable. (read more)

I can recommend the product, but not the Dell support, although they did eventually replace the motherboard, and then the screen after a 2 week wait and about 10 hours on the phone! The phone call is toll free, but my time isn't! (read more)

Dell have done well here I think, great design and different, which is good. Materials are great in areas, although not entirly sure about the quality of the plastics used. I wish the key board was little better, and I think time will tell how good the build quality is here. My M1330 laptop has no problems apart from one odd key seems to rub a little with the next. The only concern I have with the lcd is a little flex at the bottom between the hinges, but only when open. All in all little... (read more)

I waited a month to get this unit and in one week it developed a problem with the screen that made the unit totally unusable. I waited another two weeks for the replacement unit from Dell. This one had the access screws, on the WWAN card compartment, totally stripped. I could not transfer my WWAN card to the new unit. I have had this unit for two months and have not been able to really get any use out of it.
Oh yeah, Vista really sucks too.
