I was looking to buy a flight from London to Sao Paulo return. The Hoodaki website quoted a price of £605. When I rang them to book the price had increased almost threefold to £1700!! I consider this to be very misleading and I wasted time and money contacting them. They should be much more honest about there actual prices.

I booked a return flight from London Heathrow to Sydney with Hoodaki. Initially the service was ok and my outbound travel plans went smoothly. However, Due to route closures from Sydney to Hong Kong my travel plans had to be changed. Hoodaki did not notify me of this route closure, I contacted my agent via email 4 times with no reply. As I was overseas a family member rang the agent who then looked into the changes and got in touch with me. My flight between SYD and HK was changed to a new airline and I was assured all was ok and could be viewed in my online booking, which it was. The night prior to returning to the UK I went online to double check my booking to find it was no longer there. After speaking with Hoodaki agents via webchat for almost an hour they were unable to find my booking and said I had to wait until 2pm UK (11pm Aus time) time to speak to my specific agent - not ideal on my last night in Australia. I again asked a family member to speak to the agent and try and sort everything out. The agent was dismissive and unhelpful, and maintained there was a booking which he had confirmed with the airline. I arrived at Sydney airport to find there was a reservation for me on the flight but no booking - the ticket from the original flight had not been reissued. It was uncertain whether this could be rectified prior to the flight leaving Sydney. After a long wait at the customer service desk it the ticket was reissued and I made my flight. I am very disappointed with the service I received from Hoodaki, the staff were unhelpful and lacked in compassion and customer service skills. They did not put me at ease or reassure me prior to my return back to the UK. I would not use this service again or recommend them to family or friends.

The service and tickets i recieved were on time, but the terms and conditions I was told and all the information about the airline and flight change was incorrect. I had to pay more money to have my flight date changed whereas I was told it was free for 1st change, I contacted Hoodaki sales person in regards to this, and till today i have had no responce whatsoever. My first experience of booking with Hoodaki and this will be the last.

I usually don't buy tickets from agents and normally do it directly from the airline, but I thought I'd take a chance so I bought a ticket from this company, and when I was trying to decide whether to purchase it from hoodaki or not, the agent would Not stop calling me. He would call me 4-5 times a day; although I told him that I would call him back if I was going to buy it from you. Anyway.... After a while, I realised that their prices were actually ok compared to the others, so I ended up buying the ticket and paid for it there and then over the telephone. The agent told me that I was going to be getting my ticket the next morning, but then it passed morning, and I ended up having to phone the agent approx 6 times and left numerous messages so they can update me on when I would be getting my e-ticket. Later on during the day, I recieved and email with the e-ticket number just scattered on somewhere and this 'thing' did no way look like a 'ticket'; it was more like some rough copy with a few bits and bobs here and there. I ended up having to call the agent (and without exaggerating) I ended up having to call 4-5 times a day for 12 days! That's like 60 phone calls!! I was totally sick of how I was now being treated after I had paid - I couldn't even get hold of this agent who wouldn't stop mithering me at one stage. I therefore ended up having to call up emirates and they had to give me all the information I needed and assured me that my ticket had been booked. I wouldn't want to, nor would recommend anymore to book with these guys. All their after is their sale, and once they've got it, it's like you don't exist anymore. Really bad

The agent spoke nicely and I trusted him,but now I am having second thoughts. The thing is I initially booked 2nd to the 17th because I knew I had to be back by the 18th for work on the 19th, but when the details came through for me to check to confirm it showed the 18th return reaching in on the 19th, so I sent back email saying can I have return date on the 17th ,but my wishes was totally ignored. But because I wanted to start my holiday early I went ahead and pay, but the agent reassured me that he can change the date. I am still waiting for this to be done. I am scared to recommend working people who have set dates for holiday. It's not good enough.. Customer Chika

Id been phoning around for cheap flights to Melbourne - out Feb, back Mch 2013. When I spoke to [name removed] he gave me flight details that suited and I asked him to hold them as I was uncertain about the fare £795. He said he would send me an 'e signature' that I should return. My friend who was helping me search told me there was a cheaper fare available which I wanted to pursue, but [name removed] phoned back and was putting quite a bit of pressure on me to sign and confirm his booking. He asked what my hesitation was and I told him it was the fare. He insisted that the fare he was offering was as cheap as I would find it. I asked if I signed, but then found a cheaper fare - would he be able to match it. He said that he would if I could find something within the following 24hrs. I therefore signed the e form on this understanding. Well I did find a fare of £775.49 - for exactly the same flights as he had booked and I phoned straight back - within 2hrs, but I could only get his answer machine, so I sent an email, as follows - Hello [name removed], Many thanks for forwarding the Electronic ticket, However I wish to remind you that you said that if I could find the same available flight details at a cheaper price - that you would be able to match it. Well I did find a flight within the hour - with a company called Major and they offered exactly the same flights for £775.49. I did call you back straight away but was only able to leave a message on your answer phone as you must have left the office. I have tried to call back again this evening and once again I got your answer machine. I do hope that this inability to speak with you is not going to affect your promise to match the fares? I also trust the issuing of the Electronic ticket will not influence the process of a refund. I know it is only a difference of £25, but it is an important £25 to me! I would be very grateful if you could get back to me about this at your earliest convenience. Regards Fiona Coomber His reply to me was very dismissive, if not condescending- Dear Ms. Coomber, I don’t know where are you getting such fare, in fact cost of the ticket for the same date on Royal Brunei has gone up by £22. So please let me know, can we charge another £22 from your same card. Big Regards, [name removed] My final reply to him read as follows- Well [name removed], I really don't know what to make of your reply. Your answer sounds disrespectful and mocking. You have not answered or addressed any of my questions. I did tell you where I got the fare and you have completely disregarded this information. When you said that If I could find a cheaper fare that you would be able to match it - I thought you were being serious. As I do not have a lot of money it matters very much to me to save as much as I can, and I believed that you would honour your word. You are obviously telling me that the fare has gone up, and of course I will not be paying the increased cost. Why should I ? - the airlines seem to have an arbitrary fare system that neither makes sense or is anyway fair. One day its up, the next day its down, its all a game of swings and roundabouts and they make plenty enough profit. but it doesn't mean I shouldn't try and get the best deal available for myself. The fare might have gone up £22 since my inquires, but it was available at a lower price on the day you took my booking. In conclusion, I did not like the way I was treated and would not in good faith be able to recommend your company. Why was I told that a lower fare would be matched, and then totally dismissed out of hand when put to the test? all things considered I would say that it was pretty poor customer service.

So I booked a flight to Jakarta - really chuffed with the price beater on a last minute service, cheapest anywhere. HOWEVER, that's where the good service stopped. Spoke to Kate, who failed to mention service charge till the point of booking. THEN Took four phone calls after before I finally got my e-tickets. Each time, they absolutely promised me they would come through. Just logged in after arriving here, and the original person I spoke to has just sent through the e-tickets, wishing me a good trip, a day after my flights!! Not impressed, but possibly would use them again for the sake of cheapest price, however, know not to expect anything from customer service!

The person i spoke to when i booked my flight to Australia was very helpful, he booked our flights and only when the confirmation email came through did we realise £25 (£50 for the two of us) booking fee had been put on top of the air fair quoted, then half hour after paying for our flights we had a phone call saying we couldn't travel on the dates we had booked and paid for as the "offer" on the cheap flights had not started so we changed our dates, a week later my daughter enquired about flights and asked how much the booking fee would be, she was told £10 per person i was outraged that i had in fact paid £30 more so i wrote a letter of complaint and never received a reply, so wrote again and am still waiting for a response. I know for sure i will never use them again such poor after sales service. So much for Hoodaki service. Hilary

I'm a travel agent and this message is for all those complaining about the refund process and problems first of all- agents have to APPLY for refunds from the airline, which can take anything up to 3 months to get back- so don't blame the agent please.
Also, with regard to date changes- if you aren't in the industry you won't understand. Yes, there are free date changes that we can guarantee, but on occasion there are season changes on tickets imposed by the AIRLINES, and we have to pass these charges on. No matter how many people I have told this to, they never seem to understand.
I agree however that this company have terrible customer service, and their prices should say "from" before them.. all airlines have a starting price and all are subject to availability. All agents have access to the exact same fares, and all of those fares are subject to availability.
HINT- if you are booking a next day flight and you see a "from" price- it won't be there, I promise you. Just accept that air travel costs money, either pay up or don't go.

We booked a series of flights from hoodaki. The contact person's name is Michael. Even after knowing we will be travelling with our luggage throughout our journey, he booked our flight from Bali to Singapore by Jet Star Light which charges every single luggage you checked in. I did argued but was told on the checkin counter that the person who booked our flight knew exactly what is mean by JetStart Light. I strongly think that we should be reimbursed with the money from Hoodaki. I'll be in touch again if they do.

Tried booking a flight witht them. Called on the 0844 number several times and got cut off in the middle of the conversation. I was made to wait for several minutes once while the guy was checking flight details only to be cut off again! Sent an email detailing my experience and to look into the matter. Still awaiting the reply!

I booked with Hoodaki last year, and I found the online chat system very useful. The agents I were talking to seemed nice and very helpful. Got the cheapest flight I could find although the agents were a little pushy they were willing to give a low price. This year I tryed booking with them again, but the online agents have been nowhere near as helpful and some very rude. The prices offered werent cheap at all...I was offered £500 for a flight I found a £376. I told the agent this and he then accused me of lying and left the chat window not allowing me to tell him where I got it from.

They didn't inform me that my flights schedule had been changed (12 hours in one direction or the other, I still don't know). I only knew about this by chance in July. This may happen, I wouldn't complain about that, but what's just absurd is that they were unable or unwilling to provide me with a new travel itinerary - and that's still the case - end of November 2007(!).
What follows are my experiences (futile attempts to communicate) of the last four(!) months.
To the first three or four e-mails I sent them I got answers "I'll take care of that and send you all information later today." Now they are just ignoring them.
On the phone: "Sorry, that's not our style. I'll just send it out to you." I am still waiting. "We'll call you back in latest an hour." I am still waiting. "I'll just pass you on to someone else" Voicemail.
I start to wonder whether the ticket is real.
