Good Points: Very easy to sign up (easier than a Yahoo Group) Makes it easy to find things being given away for free near me. I just enter a postcode. Good newsletter that allows me to hear about only the categories I want, and within a specified distance from me. I prefer it to FreeCycle because it keeps my email address safe from spam, and saves me having to wade through lots of messages about things that have already been taken. Great feature: You can roughly see where items are as you can view search results on Google Maps. It's run as a Community Interest Company, so any revenues go back into doing good stuff.
General comments: A re-giving website that helps with giving and receiving unwanted possessions for free.
Most people I've spoken to about it prefer it to using email groups, as done by Freecycle and Freeshare networks.
