Good Points: Great features. Rare 7 disc capability, gold end connectors, sign of high end quality. Playback is excellent, videophile quality all around when it came out.
Bad Points: no faroujda dcdi processor
General comments: The JVC XV-FA90 is a very good high end dvd player during it's time many users who were disappointed received lemon versions.I bought mine from a high end electronic store and it's been trouble freewell constructed product. The negative reviews are from non audio/videophiles who may have received lemons. The design of this dvd player is of high grade from an audiophile's and engineering standpoint.

My JVC XV-FA90 DVD Player has been dependable through one year of use. DVD-Audio is the primary reason for buying and the 7-disc capacity is the second. Progressive scan will shine when I acquire an HDTV. DVD-Audio is awesome with good music to showcase the format. Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "Lucky Man" on Brain Salad Surgery and the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album are the best of my small, but growing collection.- Read sonichigh's review (77 words)

My JVC XV-FA90 DVD player broke after less than a week. The repair facility still receives faulty components from JVC after 2 months they fight to repair it.
JVC will not do anything about it. The people in charge are always "out of the office" and they never return calls.
No value for a lot of money.
DO NOT BUY.- Read Florin's review (63 words)
