Got into diffs and preferred gave me a mortgage at a reasonable rate 5.6% with a two year tie - in. Good company. 6 months left to go and no problems with the company at all. Would highly recommend to anyone suffering the stress of possibly losing their home!

Preferred Mortgage has been fair with us when we fell behind with payments recently. Gave us opportunity to pay without threats of repossession. They gave us a chance when no-one else would, so can't complain. Beggars can't be choosers!

Unfortunately if you have bad credit you have to go with some one like Preferred Mortgage in the interim. I have to say they are the worst mortgage company I EVER come across!!!!!!! Over extortionate rates I was tied in for 3 years but only had a 1 year fixed rate in which time my mortgage went up nearly £500...yes £500 pounds a month. I managed to find a property I liked 3 months before my tie in period was over and had to pay 15,000+ to get out of their tie in. Did not care thoug ...

Preferred are without doubt one of the worst Companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. They gave my mother a mortgage at an extortionate interest rate. They were charging her the incorrect amount from the start of the deal and last year they added a substantial sum to the mortgage which she never asked for, it didn't show up on statements, they didn't tell her they were doing it and all the time she has been paying interest on a much much larger figure. She asked to be be moved to a ...

In 10 months Preferred Mortgage have made mistakes with 9 payments!
Every month we spend an hour or so on the phone to them having to tell them what they need to do!
Seem to have no idea what they're doing and making our life a nightmare.

7 Months down the line, My mortgage is still not complete!!
They originally arranged the mortgage for the wrong amount and then after waiting three months for a re-written offer advised that the interest rate would now be higher!
After going back to the original offer, they keep asking for info from the solicitor which after the solicitor sending through to them over and over again they still say they havn't received it.
The mortgage advisor's in their office havn't a clue what is going on, t ...
