The best part of COD is it does not give you the feeling that war is good. You enjoy the game to the fullest but you never feel like to get engaged in real life warfare. Apart from that, the graphics, the missions and everything else meets the gamers anticipation. Although the game seems to finish up a little too early, it is a phenomenal experience as much as it continues.

LOVE the game. Problem is it really does run heavy and my laptop for some odd reason has the graphics card kick in and the fan turn on, however fan won't shut off until I reboot comp. My laptop doesn't do this for other games. Other then that this game is freakin awesome!

Playing call of Duty : Modern Warfare seems like realistic. Though a bit short on the campaign mode it will guarantee your satisfaction. The controls are user-friendly. The story line is very moving and in no way that will make you bored. The story is fictional but you can never tell that it is not true because Our governments are doing something to cover up just to protect us from Utter destruction.
It has multiplayer and online features for more fun. Anyway you got to play this game. For you to know how the game play looks like

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a great game recommended to all gamers, certainly better than (halo 3) most first person shooters.
realistic,
fun,
tense,
powerful,
good multiplayer
Only bad point is campaign is a bit short.

This game is a top game, fun for any gamer looking for a challenge. With its reward level system this game will keep you playing for days on days. Even if you reached level 55 you don't end there you can go on to prestige mode. Which starts you back at level 1 and work your way back up the more prestige you have the better your account looks. This game is a definite buy for gamers. Well recommend Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Yeh it is a good game if you are looking for gun shooting action. I know you might think it is boring at first but I guarantee you will like it in about a week or so. I suggest you do the sniping range in COD4 AKA (Call of Duty 4) the sniping range will give you good exp. There is only up to 55 levels. Thats all I can tell you. Play this game! Also COD5 is coming look for that! Very good graphics, well recommend Call of Duty 4: Mordern Warfare.

This game is brilliant, it must be one of the best shoot em ups ever made, the graphics and sound are excellent.
However the gameplay is very predictable and it is just too easy to complete, I bought and completed it the same day, I've now had it about two weeks and no longer play the single player game because its too easy.
For a real challenge the multiplayer game is a must, It's like a different game with the same excellent graphics and gameplay.

Wowza. Its taken 2 weeks (give or take a few days of college work) but I've finally finished it!
Call of Duty 4; Modern Warfare has had a lot to live up to! Its predecessors (COD 1 and 2) brought the Second World War back to life with stunning graphics, gameplay and realistic character interactions. But, hey, that was back in sunny old 2003! Its 2008 now and I expected to see something that appealed to all of my senses; which knocked me off my chair when the grenades started popping. So, what did I think?
The game has taken a dynamic new approach to first-person warfare shooters, deciding to leave WW2 behind for a bit while it explores a more modern approach to war. I was extremely happy to see an integrated SAS training course at the very beginning which decided what difficulty level I should be on (I admit, I wasn't given rank of "Veteran"). Another great addition to this was that the SAS were British for once!
The levels are dyanamic, real weather, life like orders being shouted at you, realistic weaponry fire, an array of support options such as air support and C4. Brilliant.
Just as I thought that this was JUST an SAS game, the marines were introduced as you fight through levels of desert and crumbling towns (never before depicted in the WW2 versions). The banter is great, especially during the joint missions when the SAS meet the Marines. One mission that is brilliant in conception is the sniper mission. Two snipers, on their own, behind enemy lines, one target, silence, speed, stealth...
The story is widespread and intriguing, the opening scene very shocking and depicting further horrors to come. Many dangerous men situated around the world. And its your job to stop them. The traditional jeep getaways are there too, don't worry, with a unique, never-been-done-before gunship support level. And for once, all vehicles are destructible!
Technically, the game is sound. The graphics are near perfect, the maneuverability of the world around you is pleasing and varying storyline's are winners. The music provides engaging support in your actions and the world reacts to your presence. Perhaps the game is a little too "real"...
The only criticisms lie in two main areas. The Call of Duty series always provides a path for you on its levels (as do a lot of shooter games) and you are often restricted when it comes to making decisions. If anything, next time, they should make some levels dynamic in ways that they allow freedom. Or perhaps you could find your own way round or even plan the action yourself! That would be great.
The other criticism is the size of the game files. Nearly all new computers play the DVD game superbly. However, most people don't have new pcs and this can cause problems and annoyance. Altering the graphics options just to quicken up your pc seems very frustrating, especially when you pay for the fantastic graphics in the first place. I'd probably more recommend this game to people with new hardware. Its not a problem, but as with many new realistic games, you might need to buy some patience in the shop too.
Overall, I applaud Activision for a fantastic representation of modern war, where the tin helmets are replaced by kevlar armour and the M1 Garands are replaced with Javelin Rockets.
A real entertaining gem...

None in my experience as Call of Duty 4 doesn't work on my PC! As far as I am concerned you need a higher spec by than advertised on the back of the call of duty 4 box, the game in my opinion is just to powerful as the graphics are so high spec. I am sure the gameplay is amazing, but I cant play the game due its immense power.

Activision made Call of Duty 4 an awesome game now better because it is modern day with modern day people and modern day weapons. Activision just went all out especially with multi-player. I think Activision should just continue with the Modern Day time frame. I would recommend this to anyone. Thats why i gay Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare a 10 out of 10, and 2 Thumbs Up!!

Great game play
good difficulty levels
great online
You can get stuck on levels
I think it's well worth buying Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I think that it is the best shoot'em up I have played so far this year.

The training level at the start that tells you what level you should do the game on is fun and the only game i have played with it plus the graphics are immense and beautiful.
Even though the game is mainly Americans versus Arabs and is so typically American its still an addictive game I LOVE IT....

Unbelievable graphics if you have a good graphics card. I have an EVGA 8800gts clocked at 576Mhz and an Intel Duo Core 3Ghz processor in my home built computer and it is one of the greatest games ever, Battlefield 2 now comes in 2nd.
Graphics, Graphics, Graphics. Even the exhaust from the Abraham's M1 tank is incredible. Details are very, very good.
