Good Points: Nice and well priced red from France.
Bad Points: Not the best, just mediocre.
General comments: Nice wine to have with a red meat pasta dish. Agree with the other review that it isn't too good, but still this is nice for a French red.

I must admit I'm not a big fan of French reds all round, but every now and again I come across one as part of wine cases I buy through wine clubs. This Grande Reserve du Taleyran 2005 from Corbieres isn't too bad, but it isn't good either. You need a mild cheese such as cheddar to be able to actually enjoy some of the flavours, but with any powerful meats or red pasta dishes this wine looses much of its taste and in my opinion does not complement the food.
