Good Points: Excellent clarity at all magnification levels, right to the edge of the glass. Adjustable Objective renders razor sharp image at all ranges. Light gathering is astonishing. The MOA adjustments are precise and consistent. Beautiful fit and finish, sturdy enough to use as a roofing hammer.
Bad Points: I dislike the new finger-adjustable windage and elevation knobs. I am sending the scope to the Leupold Custom Shop to have Leupold target turrets installed for approximately $100.00.
General comments: This is a wonderful refinement of the Vari-X III line of scope. It is just as sturdy as its predecessor, and carries the same lifetime guarantee. This scope is the best balance between quality and price that I have found. Are there better scopes? Yes, but you have to pay two to three times more for a minimal improvement.
