Starting off this hair iron worked great. I was using it at 200' where my old iron was 210'. This made my hair straight in seconds & was perfect for curling. Iv been using it for 3 months now twice a week and my hair is totally ruined. Full of split ends & very coarse. My hair was naturally wavy but if I just let it dry naturally its dead straight & limp. I had really good hair before using this. I was also using a heat protection spray but the damage has been done. For occasional use... (read more)

Firstly, id like to talk about the design of these straighteners. They are a beautiful violet colour, with sparkles and they look elegant. The swivel chord is great and the wire is long! these straighteners heat up before i am even ready to straighten my hair, brilliant! Never have to waste precious time again! I have frizzy, wavy hair and the 'side bits' and my fringe are descustingly curly. With my old straighteners, it would be over half an hour to get my hair straightened nicely.. These... (read more)

I have struggled with my unruly, wavy thick hair for years, used various straightners, inc GHD, never got a great finish, then i bought these. Wow, my hair looks great, takes no time at all to do. I like the heat mat, great idea and love the fancy bag that came with them. The best bit is I bought them at Argos for 38.00, THEY'RE MEANT TO BE ABOUT £90.00. What a saving. THE DEAL IS STILL ON GIRLS. GO FOR IT! (read more)

there the best hair straighteners i have ever used and though may not be the favourite of everyone they certainly are top place on my list they're great value for my money and i think they will last a long time they are used by the worlds leading hairdressers because they provide an excelent shine to you hair from the first use they have a small red light that flashes when plates are heating and stops when plates have fully heated, you can adjust the heat with a small switch that goes up to... I have naturally very curly hair and have been using Remington wet to straight straighteners for 6 years. I used to have to do a section of hair about 3 to 4 times before it went straight. With the Babyliss Pro230 Elegance straighteners, one glide down the section of hair and it is straight and that is even without them being on the hottest setting!. Saves a lot of time and an aching arm!. I am so pleased with these that I wished I had bought them sooner. I would recommend them to anyone. (read more)

Bought these last year for my daughter. They worked so well that we ended up sharing them. I got them half price at £49 and it's the best money i've ever spent! A year down the line and they are still working excellently. They come with a little bag and a heat proof mat. My daughter did once lay them down onto the bag for a brief second and the gold colouring came of the bag and stuck to the straighteners - so don't put them away in the bag when still hot! They straighten hair quickly... (read more)

I bought these straighteners today and so far I am happy with them. They look nice and sleek, the bag that comes with it is lovely. The irons slide through my hair so smoothly and leave my hair incredible smoothe and shiny. The fully rotatable cord makes I so easy to use. The only down point is when you go out into humid weather my hair starts to frizz.not good. But apart from that they are a great priced good pair of straighteners. :) (read more)

Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance are so good!
Seriously if you are considering spending a fortune on GHDs, don't!
I usually use my mum's GHDs because my straighteners were broken and these straighteners make my hair just as straight and actually smoother than with GHDs. They are also excellent for curling, you don't have to have your hair poker straight!
They also come with a stylish bag and clips for dividing your hair! I got them at half price and they are so worth the money, don't bother...

I had the same dilemma that most people seem to have on here: should I fork out for GHDs or are other straighteners just as good? Well I'm really glad I bought the babylis ones instead of the GHDs. I straightened my hair with my sister's GHDs last week and got just as good results today with my new Babylis ones. I have really thick and frizzy hair and it made it really straight and smooth. They go up to 23o degrees just like the GHDs and both are ceramic. I really don't thing the GHDs are... (read more)

I, like many people wanted a pair of GHD's but they were too pricey. I found the pro elegance on line and read reviews on them. The good points about the Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance are that it is stylish, sleek, slim and light. It also has the longer plates which come in useful, and the quality is brilliant. I also got mine half price from Argos.
The bad points are I thought that my hair wouldn't get this damaged if i spent this much money but it still seems to. I use heat defence sprays and all sorts. Because of this reason i think i might be upgrading to some GHD's which i hope will keep my hair in good...

Looking at all the wonderful reviews of Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance, I decided to buy this straightener and was very happy to get it at half price from argos. its transparent box revealed a gleaming bronzy straightener and looked amazing from outside. but my happiness was short lived when i actually opened the box and started to use it. first of all, being a such an expensive one (original cost 74 pounds) it doesn't have a digital display and the plastic used seems substandard to me (buttons... Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance - I have been using GHD straightners for the last 6 years and thought they were the best, how wrong I was!

I think that these straighteners are the best I would recommend these to any one with fluffy and curly hair like mine or if your hair is just wavy they still work wonders i am 13 and apply lots of heat to my hair but with these straighteners you don't have to worry about damaging your hair because they have ceramic plates which leave your hair soft and silky! Now in argos they are only £24.99 and were £74.99 so greatly recommend to get them from there!
