Good Points: The large objective lens is good for day/night shooting
Bad Points: Doesn't come with sun shade
General comments: I find my NC Star 3x12x56 mil dot IR (illuminated reticule) is a good and sturdy scope i`ve knocked mine a few times & never had to re-zero it the large front lens makes it a good scope for day or night shooting as it lets a lot more light through. The illuminated reticule is a great feature which lets you see the reticule in the dark or against a dark background it has 11 brightness setting`s that helps against eyestrain & glare. The high magnification allows you to see objects at great distance were as the low magnification allows you to focus on close objects. I find the mil dots easy to use. By zeroing at 50 yards & on 12x magnification each mil dot above center hits 10yrds closer i.e: 1 a.c (above center) = 40yrds 2 a.c = 30yrds &so on & each mil dot b.c (below center) hits 10yrds farther away i.e 1 b.c = 60yrds 2b.c = 70yrds. A good all round scope for any air gunner who wants a lot of scope for not a lot of money.
