I had to look for alternative supplier to tide over period of hiatus while Virgin moved my connection. In steps Direct Save with their promise of low cost and no contract...Too good to be true. “rubbish service, rip you off and lie”

The broadband was expensive, poor and they charge you for the router when you cancel. I sen the router back and they would not refund me the 35 quid as i hadnt returned the ethernet cable with it. After being with DST since 2007 putting new customers and business there way I felt some what disappointed whit the attitude of the customer services team & manager Im paying £33.00 a month pone and broadband unlimited all in Sky have offered me the same deal but with there new box (150mps).for£26.00 a month DST (54mps) so it's only fare to let DST see what they can do. “Beware they charge for everything”

This is the worst telecom Co I have come across they charge for everything they can. They do not tell you that you have to pay for paper billing and trying to get it on line very difficult. They have a fair usage policy please be aware of this as it is 1500 mins per month the they charge for every call, if you go over the allotted minutes it is very expensive the fair usage policy averages out at 49 MINUTES PER DAY not a lot really. I have been attempting to cancel my contact with DST since December 2013 as they told me to cancel it a month before it was needed. I've e-mailed and called even left my number with them and they said that they would call back to contact me and my number was under urgent. I was with them for 2 months. It cost me £150 (connection fee + £30/Month for family broadband) and it was a catastrophic experience. Router kept reconnecting every 10-15 minutes, called online support, advised me to be patient because it can happen in first 2 weeks. So I was waiting... No improvement. “Over-charging, line drop outs and NO customer service”

I have set up accounts for both my parents with this company and they are a total joke!!! My Farther has had his account with them for 7 months or so and has had 5 engineers out due to his line dropping and having no access to the internet. I have been with DST for over 6 years. At first they were great. The past 18 months have been terrible. Incorrect charging, service drop-outs, inconsistent advice for customer services. I have requested on-line billing (many times) and they still can't seem to manage that (I still get paper copies!). I have asked for my MAC code twice and am still waiting. Excuse after excuse. Be very wary of this company, you may not finish up with what you were told you would have. I decided to switch my broadband to them after years with Easynet. Because I'd had my phone lines with them for 10 years I was told I would be on a 1 month rolling contract at £14.95 p.m. They sent me a router which failed and left me down for a week, they sent a second router which also failed so I switched back to my old router. “Beware of paper bill charge!! ”

Having made several phone calls prior to having a line installed, not once was there a mention of a £1.85 charge for a paper bill. When I received my first months (paper) statement it was shown on there and also mentioned that you could save money by getting free online bills. They had already taken it by direct debit and will now in future send me bills online. This comment is quite obviously written by someone from DST. Come on Guys, the word 'Fantastic' should be used in the literal sense, brearing no relation to the world that DST customers live in, especially of late. I'm of the opinion that DST will not be a viable entity much longer.

“When does Option 3 Anytime Calls mean NOT ANYTIME CALLS?”

Simple question....and the answer is.....When you are with Direct Save Telecom. If you take their Option 3 Anytime Calls you might think you have signed up for Anytime Calls wouldn't you? .......Wrong!! Yes nearly everybody has been caught with this one as another review said you only get 49 mins per day on average, I got a bill for £100 plus, when I questioned it I was told I should read my agreement by ???Customer Service???. They do not tell you this when they want to sell the line to you

I know that, as with mobile phone companies, the general level of quality and service offered by internet service providers is poor, and I can confirm that Direct Save Telecom is no exception.
