Will not play certain retail discs. If you copy dvd tape to disc the media will not play on other dvd players, complete nightmare. Overall i would not recommend the Samsung DVD-R130. Only got it because it came free with my TV package.

The Samsung DVD R130 machine was useless - many DVD's became a frisbee because it didn't work properly, my time and expense in getting the unit serviced 3 times and the lack of customer service from Samsung - loosing faxes, not calling back and then offering a cheaper unit just was lousy - doesn't any of these big companies worry about customer service anymore?

Good player for the money. Slim and elegant. Easy menu. Cheap and reliable SAMSUNG recorder.
