If anyone is wondering, yes, Monty Pythons Flying Circus is Monty Python's first album. It consists mostly of some of the best sketches from the first TV series, adapted for audio and re-performed in front of a studio audience. The audio is of studio quality, with only some in obtrusive and appropriate laughter from the audience. There is some evidence of the Python's starting to play with the medium of records, although not nearly to the gloriously goofy extent that they would on subsequent records, once they signed with Charisma Records and had a freer hand. The recording is wonderfully hilarious, and it can serve as an excellent introduction to Monty Python.
