Delivery was fast. Product and packaging looks great - no compaint there. Their home page stated that a Free Mascara would be sent with every styling wand purchased. I did not receive mascara and got no response from them when I emailled to let them know it was missing. Should remove promotion if they have no intention of following through. (read more)

I have had these straighteners for 2 1/2 years and wouldnt be without them!! Exactly the same as GHD's except the name but only paid £30 for them! They heat up quickly, straighten my hair perfectly and even got a friend to try them who has the same style in GHD and she was annoyed she didnt find them before paying out!!
Would definatley recommed!

I love these. as good as ghds. if not better. i had them for 3 years and had no problems except i left them on one night recently and went out. They melted and smoked the house out. My son rescued them/my house........i ordered another pair the next day (fri) and they came on tues morning free post. excellent service. i wouldnt be without. My friends daughter had used ghds and was about to buy some. i told her to try mine out first. She preferred them and is going to order some for herself.... (read more)

Over all I realy love the Salon Creative Pro Tourmaline Medium Mark 5.2. Saw on reviews that people have said that they are packing up early and I have had mine a few months and so far no problems. They do what thay say and until I try the brilliant GHD's I can only say I am happy with what i got. (read more)

Salon Creative Pro Tourmaline Medium Mark 5.2 are pretty good straighteners when they work. However, I received them as a Christmas present in 2005 and since then they have broken 3 times. I think its the fuse which goes and then they just don't turn on or heat up. The company was good in the first year replacing the ones which has broken but after a year of me owning a pair which then broke again they would not replace them even though I had only owned the current pair about 2 months. I have had exactly the same problem as you, i bought a pair via their ebay site which they have since closed, no doubt due to so many people complaining. I have had 4 pairs, all of which lasted no longer than 3 months at a time most of which lasted under 1 month. I am also trying for a refund and would be interested to know how you got on with yours.

I think that these straightners are exactly the same as GHD, they look exactly the same and better still they straighten my hair just as it's done in a salon. Better still they are under £40 ! Absolutely Fab ! (read more)

After reading the good reviews on this product, I ordered a pair of SCP's. Firstly, the straighteners arrived 2 weeks late, and when the company was contacted, I received no reply! After eventually trying out the straighteners, I found they were just as bad as SCP's service. They took a long time to heat up, and they barely straightened my hair. I've tried returning them, but I get no answer from the company, despite them saying there is a 'no quibble' guarantee!! (read more)

I have had exactly the same problem with my MK 5.3 SCP straighteners, sent 5 pairs back! Did you buy from Hair Stuff Direct by any chance?! My last 2 replacements have been outside of the 12 month warranty though...after they informed me I was not entitled to a replacement due to being outside of the warranty, i then informed them that I was fully entitled as the product had not lasted an acceptable amount of time - just 2 weeks with the last pair! I am now fighting to get a refund of all postage and packing I have had to pay for sending faulty items back to hair stuff direct.
