SCP Hair Straighteners Mk 5.2a are easy to use with good results although they can't curl hair, they are a reasonable price.
I think the straighteners are hot! >:)

I got SCP Hair Straighteners Mk 5.2a for Xmas last year as a gift from my mum. She always went on to me about how she wasn't going to fork out £90+ on a hair appliance and I thought that was fair enough. I had a pair of SCP'S bought for me for christmas. After i stood on my GHD'S and broke them i know i know!....The SCP'S are
pretty good and they look nice, and also there not to different from GHD'S. But i have to say if you were to have the choice beetween the two and you could get your GHD'S cheap then id go with them although there not completely Ceramic the whole packaging and feel of them is alot better.

I've had my SCP straighteners about 3 months now and they are great! I only paid £40 for them and they're better than my sisters who paid over double for hers. I ordered mine online and they came next day. Would definitely recommend!

I bought a pair of SCP Straighteners last Xmas. I have thick, quite curly hair. While these pair of straighteners do leave my hair straight, about a few minutes after I straighten it, or go outside, my hair does not stay straight for long. After an hour or two my hair was almost completely the same as it was before. I had my hair straightened in a salon once with GHD's so I know how good they are. I bought my SCP'S because I couldn't afford GHD'S. I have asked many hair salons which are better GHD'S or SCP'S and they have all told me that SCP'S are the best because GHD'S (and not a lot of people realise this) are NOT solid ceramic plates where as SCP'S are solid ceramic plates. i love my SCP'S. I use them along with protecting products and I'm pleased with the results every time. SCP Hair Straighteners are an Excellent product! 10/10! Its as good as GHD! I have owned 2 GHDs in the past and I came across this new SCP and they work and straighten exactly the same way, leaves hair shiny and healthy looking. Would recommend SCP over GHD any day! GHD too expensive and not worth when you can get SCP half the price and does the same job!

I was cautious in buying SCP Hair Straighteners from reading reviews but have to say i think they are amazing have been using them for the past month and once the plastic burning smell goes they are perfect. I have tried using friends GHD's before but they simply don't work on my hair however these just straighten with ease.

However if you are buying the straightening mist and serum do not buy online as I think they are overpriced.

The SCP Hair Straighteners Mk 5.2a heats up fast and doesn't burn or damage your hair, even with everyday use. Best straighteners for the money in NZ. Haven't found any bad points yet.

I have just ordered some SCP straighteners and I am shocked by the amount of people who said there a waste of money. I am very annoyed as I have bought them I hope they turn out OK!

I have tried ghds and these are as good... i have recommended these to friends who agree.. i have a friend who's daughter wanted ghds because she had tried a friends. i lent scp staighteners for her to try first and she liked them and ordered them....i straighten and curl my hair also with these...well worth the money

I got some scp's this Christmas.. hearing that there amazing to straighten hair. i have long curly frizzy hair.. and its now march and there awful. i have to keep straightening my hair 2 mins after i've just done it.
I will never use scp again. poor results.
The plates are all worn and I've had them 3 months.. and I'm buying more already!

I would personally give SCP Hair Straighteners 9/10 because of the quality, and the fact that the product is long lasting. My hair, when straightened is light, very soft and bouncy, and I don't have to spend 3 hours restraightening my hair afterwards because it's gone curly after 10 minutes!!

These straighteners blew up after a couple of months whilst I was straightening my hair and consequently left a big burn on my arm. I emailed the company several times and didn't get a reply. I would never get these straighteners again. Don't buy them!

I have a pair of GHD's which I have had for 18 months. They were very expensive but very good. When my 13 year old, who has wavy hair, asked for some for her birthday last year, I looked for a cheaper alternative. I came on here and read the reviews and decided to try the SCP version.

What an absolute pile of rubbish they have turned out to be. I seem to recall the SCP site stating that GHD are not solid ceramic and so the coating on the plates rubs off but theirs are solid so this will not h ...

I'm writing this review because when I was going to buy a pair of these straighteners I read the reviews because I thought that because they were cheap they wouldn't be as good, but the comments and reviews I read were good, so I bought the SCP Solid ceramic hair straighteners. Unfortunately they are rubbish! They don't straighten anything. They just make my hair static!!

I would not use this company again. My SCP Solid Ceramic Professional 100% ceramic hair straighteners were good when they worked, but now they don't. Two sets of straightening irons have failed within a couple of weeks of use. SCP's service is awful. and they didn't replace them for 2 months!

These SCP Solid Ceramic Professional 100% Ceramic Hair Straighteners worked a treat for almost two years, heated up quickly and hair remained straight for most of the day. However they started to play up this week by not heating up at all and on Wednesday they blew up in my hand!!!! Very dangerous and I'm lucky I didn't get seriously hurt!!

I bought my first MK4 SCP Solid Ceramic Professional 100% Ceramic Hair Straighteners in Feb this year. It lasted a few months, then the wiring inside must have been faulty and it kept going on & off.
