Huge capacity, easy to clean, Oven grill and Microwave all reliable. BIG Fault is the dangerous ends on the door handle ideal for catching clothing, oven gloves and tea towels!!! Other models look safer without these loose ends on the door handle

If you are considering buying this oven, do not hesitate. It is true that the oven is quite large but after using a large one, and if you have room for it (which might be the real problem), you will never go back to using a small one! This oven can easily replace a normal oven and it is so fast, you have to be careful not to programme food for too long. Potatoes are hard and crispy on the outside and the oven even works out the time for you on the 6 autocook options. The convection is faster than fast to the point where I don't leave things unattended for too long. If you use the grill it sometimes cooks a little quicker on one side and this can be overcome by placing things in the middle of the rack but that is the only small negative that I can think of. It has a tray that slips in easily so you can cook two things at once like a pizza on the bottom round rack and a dish on the top. Some people have left reviews stating that it is complicated to use but after a few times using it you quickly get the hang of it. It also has an energy efficient feature which turns off the oven completely when not in use. Cleaning the exterior is simple because everything is flat with no buttons for dirt to get trapped and it looks stylish and expensive. Really great oven and top marks for Sharp who always produce excellent appliances.

very good, had the Sharp R959SLM for 8 years now ..if you're single guy and don't know how to cook this is the one you should buy.

I owned the previous model (R-963M) for 5 years until it died a few weeks ago. 5 years is probably not what you wanted to hear, but that was an older model, and it got a lot of use. This Sharp R959SLM is essentially the same machine, judging by its capabilities. It is well built and cooks well.
If you are skeptical about the "gimmicks" of having an auto cook for eg: a chicken, lamb, pizza etc..., then think: When you want to cook do you want to look in the manual to see what setting to use and how long for, or would you rather press a button and leave the oven to decide how to cook? My experience is that this oven is well designed/programmed and the features work well.

I found this review helpful because...it gives a straight forward opinion on the machine. My Sharp machine has just gone bang tonight, after an incredible 25 years of service. It really didn't get overused and I always joked that it was the dearest bottle-warmer (baby) I'd ever bought, but it just gave up the ghost whilst warming some food for ny 14mth old grandson.

<br/>Some reviewers complained that the SS interior is difficult to clean and the shelves are too big and scratch the interior, but you have not found it to be a problem.
