They say that people are more likely to post bad reviews than good reviews.....I guess their right. I felt compelled to write this review in the hopes that it stops someone else from buying from Blacks. Let me first say that I am a very shrewd purchaser of on-line goods. “Next day delivery still not posted 3 days later”

They promise next day delivery online. But my order still hasn't left the warehouse 3 days later. I'm having to perform all the chasing, not a single point of contact from Black's on the issue, no email, no phone call, nothing. No apology either. Wife saw a 3 in 1 coat she liked on-line, when she went to the lakeside store and asked for it they told her that they were not in stock and and to try another one on for size, when she tried it on it fine with the fleece but not without it, too big. I placed an international order about 2 weeks ago. Since it still hasn't arrived, I got in contact with the courier to find out where the parcel was. They told me they'd never received the parcel from Blacks at all, just got instructions to print out the postage label. So I contacted the customer service number, took me about 4 calls to even get connected (kept getting cut off) and then once I did get through I was on hold for ages. I bought a pair of shoes from Blacks that got heavily damaged within 3 months of purchase under normal conditions. I was encouraged by a Blacks manager to send them back and they would be assessed and a refund given to me. A month later I contacted their department and was told that nothing was wrong with the shoes. I bought a Berghaus 3 in 1 jacket with fleece from Blacks Leisure in Leeds for £190. Everything was fine until my wife washed the fleece & it shrunk so much I have not been able wear it since. “Don't gamble with this company”

Bought a berghaus jacket which had a intermittent fault with the zip. Took back to the shop who pulled and yanked at the zip but the fault wouldn't happen, was told that I couldn't have a refund. Rang customer services who told me I could have an exchange if I sent the jacket back. Sent it back and after waiting 11 days with no correspondence have been told that I'm getting the same jacket back after no fault was found. AMAZING!!!! “Blacks U-Turn”

After several days of being passed between Blacks & Citylink about a missing order, I was about to write scathing review. On hold for 9-11 minutes (3 calls), no refund allowed, no 2nd despatch allowed, no managers to speak to, I must wait for missing parcel form etc.... As a final attempt to resolve I guessed the email for their MD and hey presto literally within 15 minutes I get a refund to my PayPal account. I ordered a fleece on-line with them which never arrived. Took 30 minutes to get through to their customer services (at 10p a minute) who informed me they had cancelled the order due to no stock. “Customer service I don't think so”

In July I bought some expensive footwear from the Leicester store, after a few weeks use the sole started to come away from the shoe. This is quite simply the worst company I have ever dealt with. We bought a tent that leaked. After 3 months of contacting customer services who told us 3 different things we finally sent the tent back by courier provided by Blacks/Millets. We ordered last night at 8.25pm. It said next day delivery up to 9, we were a bit unsure but thought would give it a go. it wasn't here by 12 so my partner rung to check.
