Ordered my 2nd battery in the last year ( for different products..1st was for a camera .. my latest for my Toshiba Laptop ) and while both orders arrived somewhat delayed as not a UK based company .. but with this fantastic value price and my being prepared to await shipping for circa 3 weeks I believe it represented excellent value for both orders to date. I ordered a laptop battery from top-battery.co.uk for 2 reasons. The first was it appeared to be a UK website, and the secondly the battery was a reasonable price. I realised something was not quite right when I paid via paypal, and rather than the receipt coming from the company it was from an individual with what appeared to be a Chinese or Far Eastern name. Excellent laptop, but slight disappointment with the battery. I've looked after it well (in terms of waiting til it's almost flat to re-charge etc) but after a year I'm not getting much more than about 30 - 40 minutes juice from the battery. Lets face it, battery technology has not kept up with computing technology. (read more)

I was worried after reading reviews for this company after making my purchase - especially as it is not clear on the site that they are not UK based despite having a .co.uk address. However they did communicate quickly giving me a tracking number for the parcel which allowed me to monitor its progress via Singapore to the UK. I needed a new battery for my Dell Vostro laptop and the price from Dell was £137.99 so after shopping around for a cheaper alternative I decided on top-battery.co.uk - afterall with a .co.uk address surely they will be based in the UK and easy to deal with!! I wish I'd checked more thoroughly first - I usually do - but in this instance obviously not carefully enough. The battery took over 2 weeks to arrive and had been shipped from China. Buyer Beware!
I bought an Apple A1175 battery from these guys because they advertised it as a 5600mAh capacity on their website.
Although delivery was prompt, the received item was only 5200mAh (labelled on box) and also worked out from markings on the battery itself 56Wh/10.8V, not 5600mAh as advertised. Also it did not fit very well, it is slightly thicker than the original Apple battery. It should be flush with the bottom...

I found this review very helpful because www.top-battery.co.uk is the worst retailer I found until now. It's based in Shenzen so be very aware: don't be fooled be the .co.uk because the battery is shipped from Shenzen, then in Hong Kong and then in Singapore - at least from the tracking number. From Singapore the battery should arrive in about 7 working days in UK (London) but in my case it didn't arrived at all. So I think I was ripped off. Don't buy from them!!!

I found this review helpful because... I have been waiting for weeks for a Acer battery promised within 7 working days. They show the Royalmail logo onsite to give them credibility (without authorisation) adn the unofficial word from RM is that they are constantly receiving complaints about this and other connected companies. The fact they trade behind a .co.uk address but are based in China only becomes apparent AFTER you have confirmed your order.
