    I live in london and I made the terrible mistake of shopping form hof from their online site. first off, i realised while browsing that there SHOULD NOT be all those products listed which they DO NOT have a single in stock. They never remove products from search results which they do not have in stock. its a very out dated website in that sense. however, while shopping online there were some which seemed to be instock and were added to my basket. I thought I got a good deal on many products so I did make a big order and ordered all that I liked and was showing in stock and adding to my basket. SO ANYWAY. of all the items I ordered, i received a tiny parcel the next day which included 2 t-shirts of all the stuff I had ordered. And I received an email that the rest will be sent from their warehouse and so I will get another parcel. This is highly unusual as it doesn't happen when I shop from other retailers online. ANyway, after a coupl eof days I enquired what happened, and logged into my account and saw a package had been sent, but the courier service had made a note that they are sending it back to the sender as the sender has not provided a complete address for delivery.

    I called HOF and their staff said that somehow the address provided on that 2nd parcel was inadequate and so now the courier will send it back to them. And they will send me a refund? I said I didn't ask for a refund, why don't you just put the full address on it and send it back to me. It quite unusual that i got the other 2 items with the accurate address and you can't seem to do this.

    ANYWAY, now they said, they can re-order the items for me at the new price they have. which was not the sale price I had got. ALSO, the same morning they received back the parcel, I called at 09:00 a.m and they said half the items are not in stock anymore????

    These people have some fishy and enthical business going on.

    STEER CLEAR!

    P.S. I thought I should also mention that I received an email from HOUSE OF FRASER's customer service where they started lying afterwards that there was an attempted delivery, when the courier actually made note that it was not taking the parcel forward from their main area post office because the address was in adequate.

    House of Fraser promised a Saturday delivery but no-show. DHL had registered the delivery as a standard weekday, and wouldn't upgrade it. They told me they had fixed it and we'd get it next Saturday -- again, no-show. Preposterous! Now we can never receive our goods. Pathetic. Don't ever EVER buy from them online.

    I found the House of Fraser customer service phone line to be dreadful. After messing up my order they told me that someone would call back but I didn't receive a call. Then they told me that they would search for the item with all the stores, that due to their error is now out of stock, but I don't believe they did this. It appears they didn't even bother writing a note on their system so that I didn't have to go through the whole explanation again. The person I was told I needed to speak to se ...
