“Not delivered on time”

I ordered from this company on a tight deadline as I was set to go on holiday. They promised a two day delivery, however failed to mention that this was subject to stock. So I ordered, and sure enough a 3 delay, and the post was late. All in all, over a week to get the lenses and a ruined holiday. Very poor, shop somewhere else. (read more)

I've been ordering my contacts for more than a year by vision direct. Always fast service with no problems. I've ordered specifically the following Soflens 59 Contact Lenses which are advertised on the web as monthly disposals. After 2-3 weeks my eyes were very irritating. So, I had a search and also an advice from my optician and I found out that the box (light blue) is actually a 2 weeks one. The same excact box in dark blue is the monthly one. i ordered contact lenses when they arrived i eagerly opened the box and soon discovered they had sent the wrong strength lenses i sent them back ( recorded delivery ) and got a reply from their sales team stating as i had opened the box they couldnt replace them or refund my money , well its not my fault they sent the wrong lenses fgs also the guy from their customer services team, really wasnt that bothered he seemed to think that hey we have had your money tough , well im not a happy bunny... Oh my goodness! I have had the same happen to me.I too ordered lenses and they sent the wrong prescription, which i returned and they responded by saying that i had opened the box which i had to do to see the lenses which were unopened by me as it wasnt what i had ordered.They have refused a refund or exchange, and are not responding to any coreespondence from me. Its a rip off. avoid them at all costs!!!!

Vision Direct's prices are very reasonable, especially for buying bulks. A con is that the search field could be made better, I had to click myself through the site to find returns policy, conditions and non-product related stuff. All product information was easy to find by reading on the product info page. The site is not beautiful, but it's fast and fairly straightforward navigation-wise. There is a "news" section with a Twitter link which was a great surprise.

Absolute waste of money. I ordered the daysoft lenses only to find they actually hurt my eyes, not to mention that on the daysoft website they were sold for only a fraction of the price. What a rip off. Avoid. (read more)

After purchasing my contact lenses from Visiondirect.co.uk, I received an email from them saying they are not in stock, so I called them and the customer service man was extremely helpful - he said my order was in stock and the email I received was a system error. He said my order would be posted that day. True to his word, I received my order 2 days after placing it, (even though I paid for the cheapest postage)!
