Ordered reglazing with Specs By Post more than a year ago, was so impressed I immediately thought of them when I needed the same done. Their system kept my order so reordering took all of 30 seconds. I shipped my glasses out to them and got it back in 2 days. During that time, I got email updates. Also they clean my glasses thoroughly as part of their service. Really can't find any fault with them. Price is as good as their service so I wouldn't hesitate. Much deserving of this review! (read more)

I found Spec-by-post on a Google search after being told by D&A that it would cost be £140+ to reglaze the glasses i brought from their shop 3 years ago!! I saw the positive reviews on here and contacted Specs by post and the lady was so helpful I decided to use their service. I posted my glasses on Wednesday and I received my glasses back today (Monday) with new lenses and paid just £27 including the special delivery. Ordered bifocal transitions glasses on Wednesday about 10am. Thursdays postman knocked on the door and there they were exactly as ordered just over 24 hours from ordering. Amazing. Having said that I wouldn't want Specs by Post to have to live up to this with everyone's order as it was truly exceptional. On Friday I lost my glasses overboard while fly fishing from a boat over 60ft of water. I contacted SPECS BY POST by email on Sat morning, explained my situation and to ask for a repeat prescription. This is an amazing service. All you do is send in your glasses with your optician's prescription. Specs by Post take the PD measurement (the one the optician will never give you) from your current glasses and replace the lenses in your glasses or put new ones in the frames you have just bought. I did this recently and all it cost me was £20 plus about £3 for postage - the opticians were going to charge me nearly £100 for exactly the same service. With a current prescription there... I think the maximum price for their range without extras is £55 complete. You have rated uality is given as fair, what do you expect for your twenty or thirty quid? Good luck with finding a vendor that you would rate four or five stars in value for money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!, I liked them so much I wear them all the time.
Specs by post are a great company to deal with, ordering is as easy as pie and delivery was within 48 hours!
If only all internet shopping was a good as this, I will only use this company for glasses in the future as they really know their stuff.
No idea how they do it for the low price, but I'm glad they do!

In my opinion Specs by Post are-Selling glasses for their true price
--Fast delivery
--Great selection
--In some cases they're cheaper than Glasses Direct - espicially for very basic designs which are from £12 to £15, whereas Glasses Direct is a minimum of £20 usually.
Last pair weren't a very good fit but I didn't think so much about the measurements.

Received my specs today! They are probably the best pair of glasses I have had in the last 10 years. Firstly, they were the only people who said "yes" to rimless glasses for my specific prescription. I went to all the high street opticians only to be told that they couldn't and wouldn't do them, as my astigmatisms were too high. On a purely monetary level the glasses are as good as I have paid £90-120 for in the past
I am now going to order reading glasses and tinted driving glasses.

Then I had an idea to google for lenses and found specs by post who quoted well below £100. I am now a proud owner of a pair of glasses that should retail at £300 for a fraction of the cost.
