    I have had nothing but trouble from David Clulow, the head office are also useless. Initially, I pordered a pair of glasses with them and realised that I had changed my mind about them and contacted them the very next day. However, bearing in mind that they weren't made, just been ordered the evening before, they told me that i couldn't have my money back. I had said that they haven't been made so it's only fair out of goodwill that they refund me the money. They didn't agree and said that I'd have to buy a pair with them cos they won't give my money back. I put my order in as i was left with no choice and was told they'd contsct me when they were ready. They didn't contact me for almost 2 months and when i phoned, they said that they'd been ready and waiting for me to pick them up. I said I never received their call or message and they inisited they had, they were clearly lying! I then collected my glasses finally and checked them, I wore them, however, to my mistake I didn't bring a magnifiying glass with me as I later discovered - that evening, (whilst cleaning my lenses) that the right lens wasn't fit-in properly and was sticking out from the top and there was a chippoing in the corner of that lens too. I immediately phoned head office who ended up being also very useless (surprise surprise, the whole company is!) and they told me that i had to now return again to get them fixed. I don't see why I have had all this trouble when all i wanted to do was get a refund the next day after ordering (they weren't even made then). I now have to return to the store, wasting further time of mine and get them fixed. They are the worst opticians that I have ever come across. I wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone.

    I went to David Clulow in Canary Wharf for a simple eye check up for glasses & contact lenses. This is what I noticed:
    1. First of all the optician had no idea that I had been to David Clulow before and kept on wasting time asking basic questions which she would have know if she just got my details off her system.
    2. Secondly, at the end of the appoointment I told her I wanted to buy 6months supply of contacts since I only wear contacts and NEVER wear glasses. However she KEPT on PUSHING me to ...

    This comment is about the Cornhill London store. The service I received was appalling. I left a pair of glasses for a simple repair and they returned them scratched... They offered the most confused "explanation", no apologies or any kind of solution to the problem they created. In my experience the staff at this place are incompetent and impolite. Did I mention I sent a complaint to their complaint department, which was treated with equal contempt?

    I really like David Clulow Opticians. They are bit more upmarket than most, and always have the latest products you cannot find elsewhere.
