“Quick to grab my money”

Tesco Opticians took payment for contact lenses from me before they had confirmed the order with my optician. The order was denied but Tesco Opticians were happy to keep my money and not transfer it over until the end of next week. This isn't right! “Possibly the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE ever”

I booked my appointment online, when I arrived, they had no record of the appointment and I had to wait until the optician was free. I was persuaded to pay for expensive bifocals and only shown designer frames. My glasses arm came off and because this is apparently my fault, I'm expected to pay £95 for new frames. Nobody phoned me to let me know what was going on. They only want your money and don't give a damn about your eyes… Read Full Review

I went for my two year eye exam to be told I didn't need glasses and had near perfect vision. This was a shock to me since I have been wearing glasses for 8 years and using irvine tesco for 6 of those 8 years I was obviously very surprised. Very bad experience! When to Tesco opticians in Waterford, been there 10 min before the appointment time but optician wasn't there. Been waiting for 30 min until he is back. I told him I had another test on boots and I would like to do one more test in here to make sure the result is correct. “Shoddy.”

So I wait just over 2 weeks and after hearing nothing I go in to find out where my glasses are. "Oh they are here" says he. "We have the wrong phone number for you so couldn't contact you." he continues. Obviously Tesco have never heard of the postman. Anyway, try the glasses on, they are sitting at an angle, he tries to persuade me to take them, I'm having none of it. The sunglasses do fit though and he tries to persuade me to take those. “SIGHT BATTLE OVER DEAFNESS!”

Three months since ordering glasses (£234.00 upfront). I am still awaiting a pair of glasses fit for purpose, and lenses have never been changed therefore I am still unable to read etc., with glasses provided. I totally believe this person! I had a similar experience and so did my neighbour. The manageress was very intimidating and sold me glasses that was not suitable. I felt bad as she made me believe I was making a fuss. Not nice at all. I'll go to Boots in future.

Went into tescos opticians HULL store to get my perscription to change the lenses on my current glasses because of a scratch on my old glasses (knowing my perscription has not changed) the optician insisted that it has changed slightly. Tesco's opticians,you really, really need to get your act together regarding managers and customer service. If Tescos was owned by Richard Branson who's customer service is one of the best in the world, this would NEVER happen! After my own experience in another town (one with the crooked spire in the midlands) I'll put anyone off who mentions Tesco opticians! Poorly trained egotistical bully's! This person should have done what I did and stuck to my guns and demanded a refund there and then..workerd for me!!!

lengthy wait despite timed appointment, be careful with lens selection as mine were expensive but perform as cheap and nasty, have to pay in full on ordering, raised issues with store staff but got nowhere, had to chase up delivery via national call centre myself, found out they had been ready for collection for week, gave up and will never use again… Read Full Review

I have booked for a contact lenses initial test at Tesco Basildon. I was told I will receive a free trial lenses that I should I try and let that know before ordering extra pairs. AVOID THIS PLACE!. I bought a pair of glasses here 10 months ago, cost nearly £300. The frames started to disintergrate on Saturday night.
