Good Points: First pair of glasses (with metal frames) were ready on time.
Bad Points: 1. had to leave 2nd pair of glasses (plastic frames) at the store TWICE due to scratches on them- couldn't even take them home. 2. were not contacted when glasses were finally ready for pick up. 3. on THIRD attempt to get glasses they still had scratches, but due to pushy staff & overall pessimism on EVER actually getting a proper pair, we took them home.
General comments: A girl at the counter admitted that scratches were the least of it- sometimes glasses came into the store with the legs broken off.
They had an offer of buy one designed pair & get the second pair free- so the staff made us feel bad about returning the glasses claiming that they had been free anyway.
If paying for 2 pairs would have guaranteed two good quality glasses we would have gladly paid for then - we weren't the ones that same up with the offer!!

Do not go to Tesco for glasses they are not set up for this and in general expect to wait 3 weeks for your glasses to arrive and with luck they may be correct...but if not prepare for a longer wait whilst you are out of pocket. I am currently waiting for a full refund as I am so dis-satisfied.

Good service with nice designer frames. Two pairs for £89 and ready in 7-10 days. They even said they would text me when they are ready. Eye test was very thorough checking general eye health as well as vision. they were recommended to me my colleagues and I would recommend them to others from my experience.

Booked appointment one week in advance at local store (Scunthorpe). Turned up for appointment only to be told that same had been cancelled as optician had phoned in sick, assistant had left message on my answerphone at home (after I had left home). On returning home and clearing message it stated opticians ' car had broken down! Did not rebook appointment, approach unprofessional and disorganised. Would prefer to pay more at reputable opticians. Will not be back!

I felt the eye test with regards to the lense testing part was extremely rushed and I suspect....inaccurate. I am going somewhere else tomorrow for another test. This time, if I am rushed or any of the above happens to me, I will just walk out and not pay. All in all it was an awful experience.

I had an appointment with Tesco Opticians yesterday and I was very disappointed with the overall experience. My appointment was for 1820 hrs and I didn't see an optician until 1850. I was sat there for half an hour waiting. Being tired after work didn't help. I could have done my shopping in that time but wasn't allowed because they said I'll miss my slot and will have to make another appointment for next week.
