    BOOTS OPTICIANS:
They have to do separate eye tests for everything. Soft contact lenses, gp lenses, general check, and glasses. This is a petty way to earn money and I detest it. It is obvious that a person with myopia will need glasses and contact lenses and a general check. I could pay more and have it done with every year. When my glasses break I cant order straight away, and have to take another test, when my lenses go off I need another test...each one costing over 25 pounds.plus the test validity seems to be a breath's length so they can charge more and more.

I went for an eye test and contact lens check at Boots opticians and they refused to give me my contact lens prescription so I could buy my lenses elsewhere - even though I paid for an eye test AND contact lens check! Also, contact lenses are far more expensive than other high street and online shops.

Boots Opticians eye test facilities (at Cambridge city centre) are not up to the mark. Their 2 for 1 designer glasses offer should be taken with enough pinch of salt - some old lack lustre designer glasses are only included.

I found very friendly and courteuos staff that would do anything to help at Boots Opticians. The eye test I had was very thorough and they advised me on the most suitable glasses that would suit me. I also had a pair of glasses from another store that didn't fit properly and I didn't even need an appointment at Boots I just went in and they sorted me out straight away.
Much better than at other stores where I felt more like a number than a customer and i will certainly recommend Boots opticians ...

I always have lots of problem with Boots Opticians. I am a member of Boots vision plan and pay for my contact lenses monthly. When I made a regular eye test, I was told my appointment is contact lenses after care test, not eye test, so I had to go back to the shop later on again.Even after I had eye test, they keep sending me a reminder note and telling me that my eye test is due!!! After eye test, I had to change lens but they failed to update my record, I haven't received my lenses till I call ...

Having always had my contact lenses from Boots I decided to get some glasses there too (Boots Leeds - Albion Arcade). I was tested, paid £180 for some Police frames but when they arrived the prescription was incorrect and the frames wouldn't fit in the case. I was told that the prescription was correct and that the case was of poor design - end of story. I asked for another test, which I got, but the prescription was the same. I asked for yet another test, but this time using the old-fash ...

I switched to Boots Opticians because I trusted the name and the prices were competitive. I have found their quality of testing and supply perfectly acceptable. The problem I've had is with their lack of sufficient staff to be able to provide the sort of service I'd expect. They seem to employ fewer staff on weekends which are presumably more busy than week days so consequently are unable to offer weekend appointments at short notice even if you have an urgent eye problem you need attending to.Th ...

Wwent for an eye test with boots. Complained all the way through that I could see double then we were interrupted by boots staff because she was running late. I couldn't complain to the staff because I had a child to pick up. Told my hubby and he suggested that I go somewhere else. I went to another optician and I didn't tell them I'd been to boots. I had the eye test and I could at last see the screen. I handed him my previous test results and asked him if he would compare the results, there wa ...

Booked appointment at Boots Opticians with no problem and the test was going fine. Very thorough test and I felt that they were checking everything. Then the optician says that there is a problem in the back of my eye. I asked what and she said, "See your Gp, they will know", I pushed harder, asking what she had seen, but she clammed up and wouldn't say any more So I go to my GP, who cannot find anything wrong. As a precaution I have blood tests. These reveal there is nothing wrong with my thyro ...
