We have been with boots and previo d/a. Had an apt booked and needed to change it which was fine and another apt made for today for my husband and myself. On arrival we was told only my husband was booked in although they gave us 2 apt times! No apologies or offer of a later apt on the same day perhaps! So didnt want to book another apointment as the girls attitude was she wasnt bothered. So we took ourselves to spec savers nxt door and had a 1st class service. “Suffering after takeover”

Boots opticians in Balham have re-lensed my two original Boots frames once before but this time couldn't do any lens swaps in-store and even managed mess up the second pair which had to "go back to the factory" and therefore took two weeks. And neither are a good job as there are now gaos between the lens and the cord where there was not previously. Customer service either slightly confused or stroppy. Just returned glasses after a month-long saga of wrong prescriptions and poor quality lenses at the Leeds Albion St store. After rushing my first eye exam, which was interrupted by another customer, lasted only 15 minutes and ended with lenses giving me blurry vision; I reluctantly got a pair of glasses made up with the regular UV lens, but told them I had strong reservations my prescription was off. “Poor customer service”

Very disappointed that the Longton branch of Boots Opticians did not give due consideration to my complaint that my prescription sunglasses were not of the standard expected. Whilst they were out of guarantee, they had only had limited wear and In 52 years of wearing glasses I have NEVER experienced the tint coating peeling off the lenses. I went into my local boots today regarding buying new glasses as I glasses I have I dislike and feel uncomfortable wearing. I went to the three members of staff (2 ladies & 1 man) I told them what I was wishing to do and the man showed me where to look, he was very friendly and welcoming however while looking for glasses the two ladies were very rude towards me and my family, they were standing behind us making faces, sniggering and pushing us to look faster. Was led to believe that I could get similar contact lenses plus check ups for around £20 a month after discussing this with boots optican front of house staff , I then booked a contact lens appointment to look at rewards scheme, optician says I need the £38 a month lens. Was like no way, I was told would be around £20 mark, because I never signed up I had to pay £35 for the 10 min check up. “Don't waste your time with this company”

Just been misold another pair of glasses from this firm. Should have known better but the high price - £600 - fooled me into believing they would be good. I first went to Boots when they took over Dolland & Aitchison. Chose glasses that came with magnetic sunglasses attachment but the sunglasses never really seemed to fit properly. “Boots Contact Lenses. Disorganised. Shoddy. Timewasting.”

Dreadful. It's taken 4 appointments so far to try to get some very simple contact lenses, and I still do not have them. I called their booking center, I got an appointment after one week, had to book time off work and when I got to their opticians they told me they don't have anything booked on my name, even tho all the details as to where and when were discussed with the guy on the phone. “Stay away from these amateurs”

Boots should stick to pharmacy and cosmetics NOT in an area where they are clearly inexperienced. They use a lot of locum opticicians and not their own staff. My experience last yesr was a nightmare. I will never go there again. I was given the wrong prescription, which they said would correct. They dud and are now worse than ever - but they offered yo give me another pair free. In April I purchassed a pair of rimless framed glasses where I was told to leave a deposit which I did , it has taken four attempts to get these correct without any faults. Boots Opticians what a poor excuse for a retailer. Hemel Hempstead store lack of staff, unprofessional and a waste of my time. After ordering a pair of £300 Dolce and Gabana glasses they came in after 5 days only to find them miss shapen and ill fitting I have never seen anything like it. I was asked to come back to store for another eye test, went back to the store and was informed that there was no appointment in place. I was asked for the 4th time to return to the store next week. Bought a pair of designer glasses from the Streatham store. Case broke, at first I was told that I had to pay for a replacement case as I had broken it. Apparently by opening and closing the glasses case which I had for 5 months only, that I had broken the said case. Having your eyes tested and buying new glasses used to be fun. Lately and especially this most recent time I felt railroaded into spending more than I wanted to. Optician said my sight had deteriorated, yet is has been improving year on year (I have since had another eye test and it has improved). She said my contact lenses prescription was way out and couldn't understand it, I explained that one eye was set up for reading, the other for distance.
