booked an appointment for eye test couldn't get one for the date I wanted in luton so went to Dunstable.i was six minutes late explained traffic was bad and also took me a few minutes to get to the shop as I am disabled.we cannot do it your too late very impolite in the way I was spoken to the young man seemed embarrassed but the two women looked down their noses at me I will nnever go that shop again it eas awful and I am disgusted at the way I was treated… Read Full Review

An eye test appointment had been arranged at your Weybridge, Surrey Branch, the member of staff gave a card confirming the appointment for today, Tuesday 13th September at 4.30pm. On arrival in branch today I was advised that my appointment on the system was for tomorrow, and that the person who completed the card must have made a mistake. “Just do not sign up”

If you want your contact lenses to actually be delivered then do not sign up for this scheme. If lenses are out of stock, they do not bother to contact you. They just leave you wondering where they are. Or they might not deliver as apparently stores are unable to communicate with each other. So regardless if you have had your annual check in a Boots store, if it is not at the store where you signed up then again your lenses will just not be delivered. i will not go to boots opticians ever again, i have double vision and they just laughed and did nothing, i went to my doctors, they sent me for a scan, one of the causes of double vision are brain tumours which a scan showed that i had, two operations later and lots of radiotherapy im on the mend… Read Full Review

“Terrible after service ”

I have always used Specsavers who openly offer a full refund policy.. Which I have never used mind. Specsavers did not have any frames that I liked so went to boots today. A really pleasant woman served me.. I was really unsure about the frames and made a hasty decision to purchase them anyway.. Within 30 mins I went back to cancel as I'd seen the same ones on buy one get one free at vision express..I was unsure about the frames anyway so this made my mind up given they cost £190! “Bad customer after care.”

Picked my new glasses up 5th August 2015, spent over £300 on 2 pairs, (buy 1 get 1 half price). Last week,15th August, I noticed on the Marc Jacobs pair that some of the metallic lacquer was peeling off.I am always ultra careful with my glasses and knew that I had not caused this. Next day I rang Boots St.Helens and was told to bring them in and they would look at them. “Pathetic experience”

Pathetic service. Went in to see if I could get recommendation for frames and get an eye test. Advisor told me there were no eye test slots available until a few days later. Started to help me with frames but then another customer came in and lost interest in me immediately. Another customer asked about an eye test just after about 10mins of my asking and a different advisor checked the system and booked him in for a test in the next couple of hours. Went to Harlow branch today after making appointment through call centre.Attempted online twice but with no luck. In store I was told I arrived late (No I didn't) and my appointment was supposedly 20 minutes before, that I will not be seen and have to reschedule, miscommunication with call centre apparently.So it is not only Harlow branch thats poor quality service, is it? “Poor quality service staff with poor cusdtomer skills”

Denton , Manchester This branch until recently run as a franchise by an Optician with all the right skills .Without warning turned up for an appointment to find his franchise terminated and shop staff unable to operate , 2 months on still no manager , as a Carer returned with a lady with Downes Syndrome because her recently bought glasses the frame had come apart no qualified staff on site and a botched repair with no explanation as to why they had failed . Disappointed ordered pair of glasses awhile ago , after having a pair which I had previously got in Boots optician . Took them in as having trouble with sides , so called repaired them and as soon as I got back to car park noticed a chip . Went straight back , had to order new pair as discontinued . Found another pair which were dearer so had to pay difference , as they gave me back value of previous glasses . i went to the Darlington branch for my eye test 1 year checkup i was in for 1 1/2 hrs got a feeling that the optician had just completed his exams. he brought another member of staff in to check my eye i felt i had no confidence in him so went to Specsavers for a retest i had to pay £20 there was a difference in the results ,so i phoned boots head office asking for £20 compensation for my eye test at Specsavers the gentleman told me he would contact boots Sarlington and i would receive a… Read Full Review

I had a sight test with Wolverhampton Boots , they said my eyes were worse and needed stronger lenses, their frames where far too expensive for what they were asking so took my prescription else where I had two pair for the price of their one pair.. when I went to collect my glasses they were not right everything was blurred I Phoned boots who said they would check them. “Rubbish and Expensive”

Basically forget this store. The eye test basically consisted of a pressure sales exercise in the part of Boots. The optician kept trying to sell me expensive varifocals when I needed was a simple lense. I had to explain this to him 4 times before he took the hint. After that, the sales staff also tried to sell me varifocals. They refused to replace lenses in an existing frame in spite of my request to do so, on the grounds that I like my existing frame. “£300 glass start crakling jus after a year”

my bf bought a pair of glasses just over a year ago from boots, and it cost dearly at £300 pounds. You would expect it last at least 2 years, but at one year I started noticing it got small cracks in the edge of the glasses. “Excellent service by Carlisle Branch”

I intitially had my eyes tested by specsavers in Carlisle but couldn't find any glasses I liked so went to boots and found some. When they came the prescription wasn't right so boots checked again and got it right. The staff were extremely helpful as I had to go back a couple of times to have the arms altered and they were very good and I saw the same person each time. “Efficiency and basic knowlege”

Went to Boots in The Fort in Glasgow and had my free examination. As their prices were much higher than other opticians, I took my prescription To Specsavers They gave me a basic precheck and informed me that I had a MACULAR HOLE in one eye. As Boots boasted of their space age technology and photo of the inside of the eye, how was it that they missed the glaring damage to the eye.
