I found my visit to Boots in Warrington to day very unhelpful and arrogant staff I only completed the first part of the eye test they did not seem to know which one was dealing with me and after complaining did not take any notice of my complaint so I left no apology not the way I would expect a company like Boots to treat people… Read Full Review

I recently purchased new spectacles from Boots Opticians and have not complaints . Later I decided to purchase some clip on / flip up sun glasses. Well to say I was disappointed with the lady who served me is an understatement. “Wembley - excellent service”

I found the service at the Wembley High Road store excellent. The tests wee carried out thoroughly, with the benefit of my comprehensive records to hand; and the options for the prescribed glasses were explained very clearly. I have been reading a number of "other" reviews, and I feel very sad that so many "appear" to be dissatisfied!! And to me I find it all somewhat mystifying. As for me, I can only speak as I have found. “Rip off.. glasses free but blue coating £70.. Misleading”

Went to my local boots optician for daughters(age 10) eye check up today. Prescribed new glass as her old one damaged. Glasses are free for kids. Then I got convinced by a optical assistant that the blue coating for £70. She said "This will protect ur child's eye from bad uv lights from iPads and gadgets tv. As she us growing still it can protect". At first I thought it's expensive but then convinced by them. Paid £70.. In mid November I travelled 24 miles round trip to Boots Opticians in Salisbury and made an appointment for an eye test. My name was found on Boots computer but address needed updating. I was given an appointment for yesterday morning and told all my details would be updated then. “Great Service”

I was feeling very scared as i suddenly had floaters in my left eye. I phoned Boots to ask for advice and was told an appointment would probably be for the best and would phone back later that day after speaking to the Optician Staff. I was expecting a week hence but the follow up phone call advised no appointments at the Victoria Centre, Nottingham department but they could see me later that afternoon at the Castle Boulevard Centre. “Didnt need glasses!!!”

My husband went to the boots store in Basildon for routine eye test, was told there was a serious problem with his eyes (he is type 2 diabetic) gave him a letter for the GP for urgent referral to hospital, but they still sold him a pair of £300 varifocal glasses to cut a long story short, after a visit to GP followed by an urgent and lengthy hospital appointment involving a thorough check up and further sight test, nothing wrong with his eyes whatsoever and as for the glasses - he didn't even… Read Full Review

“automated reminder letters”

Both my husband and I have received automated letters from Boots (2 each) over the last few weeks. They are reminding us that out eye test is now due and its almost 2 years since they last saw us. Its actually 18 months since they last saw us and our appointment isn't due until March 2017. I think the letters are a tad early and perhaps February would be a better time to write and remind us. An eye test appointment had been arranged at your Weybridge, Surrey Branch, the member of staff gave a card confirming the appointment for today, Tuesday 13th September at 4.30pm. “Just do not sign up”

If you want your contact lenses to actually be delivered then do not sign up for this scheme. If lenses are out of stock, they do not bother to contact you. They just leave you wondering where they are. Or they might not deliver as apparently stores are unable to communicate with each other. So regardless if you have had your annual check in a Boots store, if it is not at the store where you signed up then again your lenses will just not be delivered. i will not go to boots opticians ever again, i have double vision and they just laughed and did nothing, i went to my doctors, they sent me for a scan, one of the causes of double vision are brain tumours which a scan showed that i had, two operations later and lots of radiotherapy im on the mend… Read Full Review

I have always used Specsavers who openly offer a full refund policy.. Which I have never used mind. Specsavers did not have any frames that I liked so went to boots today. A really pleasant woman served me.. I was really unsure about the frames and made a hasty decision to purchase them anyway.. Within 30 mins I went back to cancel as I'd seen the same ones on buy one get one free at vision express..I was unsure about the frames anyway so this made my mind up given they cost £190! “Bad customer after care.”

Picked my new glasses up 5th August 2015, spent over £300 on 2 pairs, (buy 1 get 1 half price). Last week,15th August, I noticed on the Marc Jacobs pair that some of the metallic lacquer was peeling off.I am always ultra careful with my glasses and knew that I had not caused this. Next day I rang Boots St.Helens and was told to bring them in and they would look at them.
