Good Points: Good solid, hearty food

Bad Points: None come to mind. It was a delight!

General comments: Going to Brian Turners was a real treat for me. Having seen him many times on TV, I worried that he would live up to his billing...and he didn't disappoint.

If you imagine Brian Turner, you can imagine the food...good, solid, hearty British Food with the occasional twist. The menu is nostalgic and oft old-fashioned, but doesn't half remind you of home!!! The menu includes things such as Chicken and Barley Broth, fish cake and chips (absolutely delicious!!!), steak, Cumbrian Lamb, Lincolnshire Pork, smoked haddock and salmon pie, venison...you can see my point I hope.

Desserts are for the sweet tooth...which I have...pear mousse, carrot cake, apple cheesecake...mmmmmmmm

Pleasantly, which you don't often get in "posh" restaurants, the wine is not badly priced. I recently ate at a Michelin star restaurant, where the wine bill was responsible for a third of the overall bill. You can get a very reasonable wine here for around £20 per bottle, which is good for this type of restaurant.

Classic is the best way to describe Turners Grill in Birmingham... CLASSIC!!!
