    Good Points: It does what I bought it to do, that is record TV programmes, but it is complicated for what I had in mind.


    Bad Points: I specifically bought a Samsung based on the fact that as I already have a Samsung TV - I would be able to use only ONE remote for both this and the telly. I was assured by the salesman at Comet that this would definitely be the case.

    However, it is NOT true as their is a facility on this machine to edit the recorded content - for example after recording the programme you can take out the adverts.
    However, the TV remote does not have the necessary buttons to do this and the remote for the DvD doesn't have all the buttons I need for full control on the TV.

    So, I have to have TWO remotes!! Not what I had intended.


    General comments: After 9 hours I eventually got to grips with it and have successfully recorded a programme and edited out the adverts.
    Had I known that I would need two remotes I would have maybe chosen a different make!
    I suppose I shouldn't complain too much @ £69.99.
    I chose this particular model as I already have FREEVIEW an I'm not bothered about HD, knowing that most of my recordings will be on long play which is low resolution but longer recording time = more content on dvd.
