    My Samsung DVD-1080P7 was extremely cheap produces an excellent picture for the money: and was region free within seconds using remote code. It can be a little slow in reacting to remote inputs, doesn't have multi disc memory play so if you stop half way and change disc you have to start from the beginning again: Overall, it does what you want and for 49 pound you cant ask for more. Will do nicely till I can afford a full home cinema.

    The Samsung DVD-1080P7 will play DVDs, CDs and DVD+/-R. If you have a Samsung TV connected with an HDMI cable, you can use the TV remote to control the DVD player (if it supports the anynet). Great player, and a great value, at $120.
