Good Points: Quick service but it was a quiet Tuesday night.
Bad Points: Contaminated food served and full price still charged.
General comments: I was at the gables tonight for tea with my wife and baby. I was served a dried out and overdone chicken maryland which had a piece of blue plastic freezer bag about the size of a 50 pence piece inside the coating of part of the dish. I pointed this out to the waiter who went to the kitchen to investigate having told us that it couldn't be their fault as they made all their own stuff - but did not return to apologise or offer another dish. Sickened by what else could be lurking in our food - especially with a baby eating too - we decided to pack up and go. I was astonished when, after having to wander around to try and find some staff, we were charged full price for a meal we left midway through. Disgraceful that they served contaminated food, even worse their blase and arrogant attitude when this was pointed out to them. If this is what it's like there then do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

We eat at The Gables in Dungannon regularly, and we really enjoy the food and atmosphere. They do special offers on week nights, where a steak dinner is £8 per person, which is very reasonable. Their steaks are very good, however I have no qualms about anything I would order off their menu, as all the food is very tasty.
