Me and my family have been to the pub many time before, always had good food although very busy. Tonight food very poor, 2 members of staff very aggressive when I asked for a coffee, would never go back there if staff treat customers that way, never had to complain before, saw a different side to the Holybush tonight. I would recommed the Dog and Doublet at Sandon, or the Wayfarer at Stone, both establishments, food much better, staff outtstanding and more varied menu (read more)

"We though we'd give it another try after our last experience" We first went here about two years ago and had a rubbish overpriced lunch. Because it was a long time ago we figured we would take friends there to try it out...after all two years is a long time. Having visited the Holly Bush often I was shocked to find a LARGE fly in my food. I complained to the staff and was disappoiunted by their reaction. Partner had a fish with the same problem with the fries.Deserts though were fine, good sized portions. (read more)

The food at the Holly Bush Inn in Salt, near Stafford is the best pub food I've ever eaten, and very well priced! We started with a big glass of red wine for me, and a couple of ales for my 2 friends.
We decided to have a starter between the 3, because they are expensive. We selected the pears in Stilton sauce, and we were not disappointed. We even asked for bread to dip into the sauce! Probably, they should offer it with the dish, as it is so tasty.
Then I had the guinea fowl with grape...
