“Tesco direct 2 orders, 6 months apart and probs with...”

The first order was a very large one for nearly £2,000 as it contained items for the up coming arrival of our baby (nursery furniture, baby bedding, bouncy seat, bottle sets, moses basket etc.). I ordered a dwarf quince from the Tesco Direct Website in October 2013 which was to be delivered by the 4 th February 2013 by Thomson & Morgan. When the dilivery was not made I tried to resolve the issue with Thompson and Morgan who have been refusing to do anything. Placed a order 5.4.13 and still waiting, date is now 14.5.13, no contact at all from tesco, I have sent queries, but all tesco keep saying is the supplier is sorry for the delay, and someone from customer services is going to contact me, some hope of that. “Not everything is quite what it appears.”

Where to start with my modern Experience of Tesco and Tesco Direct. After moving into central Edinburgh, I find that the stores no longer stock entertainment items and have staff who are unable to perform the simplest of tasks. This caused me to turn to Tesco Direct, the convenient way to buy these same products and even ear clubcard points! Ordered something on a Monday and it had a delivery date of Friday. Fairly lengthy anyway, but I thought nothing of it. Got to Friday and it hadn't been delivered. Contacted them and they fobbed a claim that their end - it was only showing for dispatch on Friday even though it had been in stock all week. I received a £20 voucher off a sat nav when I purchased petrol recently. I do not normally use Tesco but I was pleased with such a huge saving thought I would order through Tesco Direct. Everything went through ok and I received an email stating my purchase could be collected 26 hours or so later locally. I ordered a book from Tesco Direct on pre-order. The order went through OK, I did not receive a confirmation email but it showed up in my account and my credit card had been charged. “All I see is hate”

I don't understand all the hate Tesco Direct gets, I order from the site quite often and I've never once had an issue with Tesco themselves. Before you finalize your purchase(s) it clearly states an ESTIMATED delivery date and will even give you a warning if some products in the basket will require more time. It then gives you the option to either keep your order together or split it in order to get some items quicker. Clearly the people writing these reviews don't bother taking the time to... I was given a delivery date of 17th of april 2013 after ordering and paying for my goods on the 11 feb However i was called this morning and said they had only received the order this morning, and it will be another week. I order from Direct nearly every single week and so far all my orders have arrived on the date stated so there's no reason for me to complain.

I've ordered several things from tesco direct including laptops, iPads and games all collect from store and every single item has either arrived a day early or on the day as stated. And no I don't work for them either. Currently waitin for an iPad mini due to be ready for collection tommorrow after 4, so far had 3 emails confirming despatch, tracking details etc its well on its way up here now and also looking to be ready early.

my daughter did receive my television on the 24th of march which was over two weeks after ordering an 7 days after my first delivery date. The television I ordered was a gift for my daughter and i did want it to be a suprise as she live about 180 miles away from me. however it did get there in the end and with some appologies from tesco direct saying it was an error in their system and did give up to date texts and calls on the delivery.
I think i would think twice about ordering with them again as the price difference was only twenty pounds in my case, but it did spoil the suprise for my daughter and her son. but if i was not to worried about delivery is another story. this is my true story and as candid as i can be. alwyne

I have ordered goods from tesco direct twice. Not ONCE has the stuff actually got to my place. Both times they have sent it back as they said I was not available. “12 weeks to get an invoice for my goods!!!”

“Terrible Service! Never Use!”

I ordered a dishwasher and payed for recycling and installing the new one, however when they arrived they said that they couldn't do that and left. Now we are stuck with two dishwashers as Tesco say they cannot do anything and have said sorry. That does not make it okay, even a refund isn't good because we still have no working dishwasher. If only I'd read the review's 1st! My order did not arrive and was never received by the courier so it was never going to be delivered. It took 2 weeks, 3 emails and at least 10 phone calls to arrange a refund for £175.00. I was promised a £20 compensation payment which was also never received. I ordered a mac book through click and collect. The free had drive didn't t come as ordered but tesco direct we're appalling. After 6 phone calls and 2 visits in store they still couldn't manage to send an e mail and were rude and unhelpful each time I rang. While items that were available to pick-up in store were generally available when they said they would be (a story there but I won't bore you) the items that had to be delivered just don't turn up. After experiencing the successful Click and Collect service from John Lewis on numerous occasions I tried Tesco's click and collect service. It's bl***y awful. Failure to deliver the item at the time stated, dishonest reasons provided for the failure to deliver when promised and lack of interest from managers in the problem. Placed order 13th November 2012. After days of mix ups by Tesco direct even telephoned Tesco head of Customers Service. Who did get some one to ring me back in 5 mins. I said I had paced another order with Argos. Promised to put the money back in my bank account next day November 17th. £78.00 still waiting for my money.
