AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bought sofa 2013 manufacturing fault according to FSO. At 4 years old SCS reckon it's at the end of its life yet got a 10 year guarantee. Buy on credit or pay deposit over 100 on credit card. Better yet go elsewhere please. Awful horrible company. Not a member of furniture ombudsman. “Sofa looks brown ment to grey”

My sofa arrived today ordered Aaron highland 3 and 2 seater in grey but looks brown at first thought it was lighting. But new it looked different to the one I ordered. I ordered a sofa and chair on 4 October 2016 I placed an order for crushed velvet in silver with the footstool after waiting about six weeks we got our delivery only to find they delivered the wrong colour in a dark purple with silver footstool. Brought 2 Sofas october time. At the time we purchased the sofas SCS used two levels of Foam in their Sofas. One of the foams looked cheap and nasty the other although a dearer option looked of of a decent standard......WRONG. It took all of 2 weeks for the foam to go flat at the edges. Contacted SCS and and a upholsterier came out to inspect. Any one who purchased from SCS using the interest free option ( otherwise on credit) and are getting nowhere with customer service put in complaInt to whoever financed it (probably Barclays partner finance) under section 75 of the consumer credit act, they have a joint legal responsibility to address any issues.

Me and my partner ordered a corner sofa from the Blackburn ScS on the 28th October, 2016 with a 6 week delivery slot. Brill! just in time for Christmas! guess what? we're STILL waiting and been told 16th January. we don't even have the option to cancel? pretty sure that's wrong as I could have just gone elsewhere. In November 2015 I purchased a Three seater sofa from SCS in Lincoln, only to find out after a week of having it delivered that the cushions had gone flat, even dressing them did not bring them back to life, I called SCS who got someone out to me in March 2016 (3 months later DISGUSTING) who put loads of Fiber into the cushions, this again lasted a whole week before the cushions went back out of shape, I have just recently contacted SCS again via their non caring Chief Executive, who got one of… Read Full Review

Very similar situation from sofas purchased from SCS Mansfield. Seating area quickly discoloured and looked terrible. After 5 months, several letters & negative response we paid for an independent expert report that found numerous manufacturing problems & said the cloth was the wrong way round. SCS then offered to exchange the sofas but we requested a full refund and have now placed them into the Small Claims Court to get our money back. Tony

I have had a similar problem.Eventually they replaced with what appears to be exactly the same and they are still going flat and still very uncomfortable.Should I now go direct to court action.Had anybody else taken this company to court for these not fit for purpose cushions?

Do not buy if you are 100% certain you want it. You cannot cancel. If you read the small print. And if you get 'permission ' from the store manager to cancel. You get screwed for 25% cost of the sofa. When you do get your sofa. The middle collapses and the frame creaks and rocks forward and back when you sit in it. 4 months old and looks terrible. I'm not even going to bother contacting them to sort it. Reading all the shocking stories on here. It's not worth it. No one will call… Read Full Review
