I ordered 5 carpets from SCS at Middlebrook Bolton. Instore, they were helpful, however, from then on, it went from bad to worse. The assessor from SCS when attending, was bad tempered and very unhelpful. The initial cost went up over £300. Also the fitting costs went up. The carpet fitter on the day was nasty with family and even refused to give us a receipt for the fitting done. I complained and eventually was sent a receipt by text which was totally unacceptable. I would never again purchase anything from SCS.They are keen to take your money then ignore you when they fail to deliver items on time. Nobody returns your call and the branch manager at Metrocentre Gateshead asked an admin member of staff to call me back as he was to busy with meetings etc.That says everything about way the company operates… Read Full Review

Excellent friendly service until deposit was paid and order was confirmed - after deposit was paid and order was confirmed the store does not want to know you and neither does anyone in SCS for the faulty la-z-boys they delivered! 3 or 4 months on and still no actual repair! Have to wait 3 weeks for a tech not visit each time and does half a repair job and leaves twice the amount of damage behind! Went to scs in mansfield.liked a 3 seater leather sofa and recliner that was showroom stock for sale.Paid by credit card £2000.salesman rang up a few days later to say 2 of the zips on the sofa were broke but not to worry as I could claim accidental damage on the warranty.Both managers at the store said the same when I came to inspect the sofa myself.Felt rather uncomfortable with this being told to lie to warranty people as I hadn't caused the damage.Few days later asked them to repair in… Read Full Review

Ordered a corner unit, cuddler chair and footstool in November 2016 it is now March 2017 and I have still have no sofa. Wrong colour of scatter back (purple & silver) with sofa was delivered in January 2017. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bought sofa 2013 manufacturing fault according to FSO. At 4 years old SCS reckon it's at the end of its life yet got a 10 year guarantee. Buy on credit or pay deposit over 100 on credit card. Better yet go elsewhere please. Awful horrible company. Not a member of furniture ombudsman. Brought 2 Sofas october time. At the time we purchased the sofas SCS used two levels of Foam in their Sofas. One of the foams looked cheap and nasty the other although a dearer option looked of of a decent standard......WRONG. It took all of 2 weeks for the foam to go flat at the edges. Contacted SCS and and a upholsterier came out to inspect. Any one who purchased from SCS using the interest free option ( otherwise on credit) and are getting nowhere with customer service put in complaInt to whoever financed it (probably Barclays partner finance) under section 75 of the consumer credit act, they have a joint legal responsibility to address any issues.
