we ordered 2 settees at the end of june, after numerous visits to the showroom they were delivered nov 24th. although the manager was very good we were continually fobbed off by the distribution centre, we were told three times that the ship had not docked.because we expected delivery after 12-14 weeks, we sold our 3 piece suite and were sitting on garden furniture, when the store manager learnt of this he immediately arranged a loan suite till ours was delivered. i would like to thank the… Read Full Review

I got a new sofa from here took a long time but got it and men were lovely but when I got my sofa I got a 20% off on carpet so went to shop and they kept saying no 10% but luckily I have proof but ordered carpet on 14 and still waiting and called shop and they are saying next week but said 7 to 10 days but not going to be here for that time and when in shop I thought the price for deliver for carpet was £30 pound and £70 pound to get laid I just thought that was really a lot on top off £260… Read Full Review

ONE CHAIR AND A SOFA WERE PURCHASED IN FULL ON 04 SEPT'16. DELIVERY WAS ON 14th OCT. Ordered a carpet on 17th Nov 3 weeks later heard nothing rand store and was told yes carpet is in we can fit it Monday, I changed date to the following sat. my son ordered carpets not cheap I may add on workmen leaving he had to clean up their mess hoover up etc and found a stain on newly laid carpet .contacted scs was told it was an oil mark considering he hadn't been in or out house since men left to bleach it and basically that was it ,very rude staff I certainly wont be getting them or recommending them, shambles. was told when he signed work was finished he signed all ok how was he meant to ask workmen to stay while he tidied up and studied… Read Full Review

Bought a 'JO' sofa set from Cambridge store. We haven't moved into our new house yet so all items are still wrapped and brand new. I unwrapped the swivel chair, it was noisy and rattled to sit on. Got in touch with customer care, was told not to worry and they would send engineer to inspect. This took a couple of weeks. Was advised that I did not have to accept a repair as items were new. Watch out this company is dishonest please do NOT purchase from this company. They are dishonest and unprofessional. I purchased a 3 seater and 2 wings chairs from the Staple Corner branch I paid over £2,500 in July 2016. “SCS Sofa - Aftersales care”

A new three piece suite was delivered on 31st March 2016 along with the Care Guide. We were very pleased to receive it after the order period. On 4th April I opened the lounge curtains and turned around to see a dark (what I thought to be at the time) stain on the seating area (see photo). After about 10 years ago, we tried to cancel an order and was told the we'd have to pay nearly £60 cancel fee. As such, as many had passed I thought we'd try them again. As soon as we got through the door, the salesman pounced on us doing the usual patter. Following a second visit relating to my furniture where my back cushions lost the shape this was a manufacturing fault, however 2 months later my cushions lost shape again but to my surprise SCS claim no fault. I bought a sofa and cuddle chair, it was a disaster frm beginning to end. It was off the shop floor but still £1,000. They found a hole in the chair before delivery, I was told they would get it repaired after I had received it, no mention of a refund. No mention of how awkward a cuddle chair is to get into a house, so on delivery it did not fit. We bought a sofa with electric recliners from this company which we took delivery of in March/April of this year. A few weeks ago, one if the recliners stopped working, so we contacted CS to arrange for a repair. We both work, but I'm around in the mornings, so my husband explained this to them, and they said that it wouldn't be a problem. Bought a Parker Knoll sofa suite from SCS at a high cost,as we wanted quality and something that would last. After having only sat on it for 6th time sofa collapsed.They came to inspect it, and it had faults in manufacture, had internal parts missing!
