“Shoddy Goods!”

We bought a sofa from SCS three months ago, and it is already falling to pieces! You would think that it is ok because it should be guaranteed? - NO! We called Customer Service out as the sofa had developed a "sink hole" - the upholsterer came, we thought he was going to inspect it - and was most surprised to find he came with all his tools, and we were worried he was going to "bodge" it up - but no - he flatly refused to accept that anything was wrong with it at all. Ordered a Sofa that was meant to be delivered in 8 weeks, its now been 13 weeks and there's no sign of my sofa and no one at the SCS Beckton store seems to know anything about when my sofa will get delivered. “paid in full no carpet after 4 weeks”

Ordered a sofa and carpet was made clear the lead times of the sofa 9 weeks I can cope with this. The carpet was ordered at the same time and told delivery within 2 weeks and a guaranteed date for fitting got to the date of delivery and a no show after a few phone calls to the store that never answers the phone. Paid in full for a sofa 11.01.15. Including delivery still no goods. I have asked to speak to a manager 3 times now with no sucess. On the last call a terrible assistant  informed me she was cancelling the call after I informed her I would like a full refund as Dfs could guarantee my sofa in 2 weeks. Apparently it is a non cancelable order. Which i wasn't informed about. I would not recommend scs especially the paisley branch. 7 months, 36 emails back & to to Trading Standards, a week's annual leave in days spent waiting for SCS - bought a settee at the end of August. left it a while before writing my review sofa now two years old had scs engineers out three times in 12 month warranty period also took out the insurance policy had them out twice so five visits in two years 4 was about fibre fillings in all seats cushions etc. once as frame had broken. Sofa looks ten years old already, fibre totally flat and the ten year warranty you get for frame cost you £75 per visit after 1st 12 months. Should have had 2sofas delivered on the 4th MARCH . did not turn up could not get store on the phone went to store and the assistant checked on the computer she said it was he that put in the date and that someone at the despatch changed delivery date to 11th March. on 1.1.15 ordered a 3 piece suit paid in full on the day, wasn't told about the extra £300 to have foam or about the delivery charge and it didn't fit in my car so had to pay it!! (Jokers) On contract was told 3 was max to then be told a further 4 weeks! My bank do what is called a CHARGE BACK if the company is in breech of contract. “communication at Dartford store”

Order carpet, estimator came down to measure up. Estimator suggested that it was to use the resets in the corners to cover short age of carpet which was about 1 inch. As items was going to cover that part. Arranged with SCS for fitters to attend after 12pm due to myself finishing work. Got a phone call at work fitters, coming in 45 mins arrived 10am. All started so well with the nice sales man who certainly had the gift of gab. We found what we wanted and sat down with the sales man as we went through all the details of what we wanted. Did you pay via. Visa card?? We have had the same problem and was lucky enough to get a charge back via our bank which SCS are not happy about but tough! We did also pay £180 in cash which they refuse to give us back saying we have cancelled the order oh and had it delivered but it didn't fit! Jokers! Try the charge back though you may be as lucky as us.

“Do not buy from SCS!”

We bought a leather corner group sofa from the Gloucester store. As soon as it was delivered we noticed an issue and reported the fault. Within the space of a year we called them out 3 times. Once they adjusted the foam pad, the second time they over stuffed the cushion to compensate for the dip and the thid time they just "assessed it".It is now two and a half year later and the sofa is totally unusable at one end. I brought the same sofa and got the same response from SCS customer service, was told not to sit by the arm just sit in the middle of the cushion which was no help when trying to feed my six month old baby,got it on finance ,paying for something I can't use for the next 5 yrs

We went into SCS late one evening to buy a new sofa and once we had looked round and was lingering around the sofa we wanted wondering whether or not to go for it a sales man came over and talked us through the prices and contract lengths and monthly costs which we really liked the look of. I ordered 3x 3 seaters and according to the website it was 150cm but when delivered they were clearly bigger than 150cm and now, I can't open any of the doors in the living room and scs won't take it back unless I give them another £300 also they removed the sofa from the website so they don't believe me when I say it said 150cm. scs.....leather corner sofa, promised delivery mid january didn't arrive til middle of febuary 4 weeks later than told, sofa was not what the salesman descibed to me, there reply when i phoned to complain was tuff.........i will never ever buy a sofa of scs agian as long as i live.
