Ordered a sofa in the middle of September and was told by staff in the shop that it would be delivered by end of November. As it is nearly the end of November now I rang the store at Silverlink to give me some idea of when to expect its arrival. Staff said it's not due in from the distributor until 3rd December. I know that may not seem like much of a delay but the fact that their adverts on the TV at the moment say you can order now and still have delivery before Christmas is baffling. “Foam seats flopped”

Had a storm 3 corner 3 sofa for 2 weeks since delivery. Noticed that corner seat foam sagging somewhat. Scs sent man out to inspect . The worst company ever-poor service, ludicrous terms of sale and if your sofa doesn't fit in your home you are ******! Not even offer of exchange-unless in 7 days of sale...which is ridiculous-what if you are not happy when goods are delivered after 4 weeks?? (And some leeway should be allowed for furniture not fitting in-this should be no big deal should it??) And free carpet? £30 for delivery is NOT free-morons. Searched online all sofa shops and decided SCS had the best selection of fabric corner sofas for us on arrival at the nottingham store we were NOT dissapointed. I purchased a settee and when it was delivered it was faulty . I contacted SCS who have replaced the item for a different settee for me with no problems. I had the most traumatic experience with SCS about 2 months ago while refurbishing our flat and replacing the carpet; 1. They were not clear during purchase process and I ended up with an undesirable carpet joint in my living room; 2. The carpet fitter was extremely rude and lazy leaving the carpet outdoors unsecure and in the rain till I could return to the flat 3 days later and ask someone else to do the job; 3. I bought a sofa and carpet from Leeds SCS in June, I had the carpet fitted albeit much later then planned however it came with a manufacturers fault in it, after trying to contact the stores 13 times (it's impossible). I bought a sofa and 2 armchairs from scs online it was delivered last October. But my home was under renovation and they just wanted it delivered. When the sofa and chairs where put in place I was not happy with the sofa. I cantacted scs to say I was not happy with the sofa as it wasn't comfortable. “fabricguard protection for sofas”

My friend and I bought Gplan sofas and chairs and were adamant that we wanted them treated for stains etc. We paid £250 and £300 for what we were told was a treatment Fabricguard, plus a five year insurance to put right any accidental damage and any structural defects which may occur. I forgot to add that the first sofas which were delivered were the wrong ones, entirely the wrong fabric. The arm protectors which I ordered at a cost of £60 per set were also missing. SCS said that I hadn't ordered any and I needed to pre-order. They were now £160 per pair. I refused to pay for them due to the inconvenience they had caused and they agreed.

i think that if I had read all these reviews before placing an order with SCS I might well have been put off, but I can honestly say that I experienced no problems whatsoever. Yes, the salesman did try to persuade me to purchase the 'cleaning aftercare', but I was expecting this and just politely and firmly said no thanks and he certainly didn't push me on it. This is the 3 rd sofa I have bought from SCS no problems had last one14 yrs Past on to daughter. When I bought this I asked 3 times if it was leather was told yes.
