I called at the stockport branch on Sunday 15th Nov 2009 my wife and myself were looking for a replacement suit for our house. We were intending paying cash when we found the suite we wanted. when we walked through the door we were approached by a lady who offered us help when we said we would ask for help when we had selected our purchase she went away but continued to follow us around at a distance harasing us twice more. On the final approach i asked her to stay away untill we were ready and i was called rude. We walked out of the shop and whent to a competitor where we spent over £1000.00 and a plesant purchase experiance. DO NOT USE SCS.

WOW! After purchasing (I'm an impulsive buyer) a Tyler 2 seater power recliner a single seater power recliner and a 3 seater with 2 manual recliners (centre section may be removedto make 2 seater) all leather from the Wrexham branch, I was shocked when I actually looked up SCS on the net to find all these horror stories.
We actually bought an in store display package (did not want to wait 6-7 weeks) so for me it is a bargain I have taken out the 5 year insurance against damage etc for an extra ...

Ordered a sofa from SCS with my main concern being the size of the sofa as I have narrow doorways and hallways. The salesman told me that the sofa doesnt come as a whole sofa and assured me that it would fit as they deliver to flats all the time and even explained to my mum how the sofa is split and put back together in your home. However after organising the day of delivery for the sofa to come of course the sofa wouldnt fit as it was a whole sofa...and I would now have to pay £120 for th ...

We bought a sofa on the third of May, promised 7 week delivery and guess wot it took 10. The feet are completetly unlevel, two technicians later and ten weeks on i am still waiting for the problem to be sorted out. SCS Sofas doesnt want to know they say its cutomers services problem, numourus calls to cust services and all they keep telling me is i have to wait, like a total of 20 weeks isnt enough! Meanwhile the finance department is nicely sitting on my 3 Grand! They are a complete joke, im so ...

Bought a settee from SCS the stitching came apart after only 10 weeks it took three upholsterers to visit and a strong letter of complain before they sorted the problem. the sofa is now only 15 months old and the springs have gone in one corner where i sit ( I only weigh 9 stone !) unfortunately it is no longer in guarantee so we will have to pay to get it repaired. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. My previous sofa from a different company lasted 10 years with no problems

Purchased two leather sofas from the SCS Kingsway Derby Branch feb09 after paying all monies up front. After del. and within the 2 weeks complaint period I phoned customer sevices to ask for a engineer to visit due to the one of the back cusions on both sofas having less filling and measuring smaller. When the scs engineer turned up visit he agreed that we had a case, they would either repair or replace. 2 weeks later recieved a standard letter saying there was no faults. So then ask the store ...

Went to DFS looking for a sofa and didnt find a style we liked went to SCS next door and we did. Came back home and Googled for reviews and, as they were so bad was overwhelmed with a '...woops what hve I done' emotion. However figured mostly those with a beef would post a review and so should hopfully be ok - whic proved to be the case. Sofa was delivered within the agreed schedule, called on the Friday delivered on the Monday. Also got the 'hour before arrival call' too. Sofa was set up (as me ...

My Mother and father have purchased a sofa and armchair and stool from SCS Cannock. The estimated time for delivery was 4 to 5 weeks. It was delivered this sunday 5 weeks after ordering. The staff at Cannock were very good, delivery men very polite and efficient. So far it has been a good experience dealing with scs, l hope it continues. After reading all the negative reviews, we have been pleasantly surprised.

In July 2008 I took delivery of a large leather sofa from SCS Sofas with in no time the leather started to go all saggy in places. In march 09 they sent someone to look at it. I picked this one because I was told it had a memory form, wrapped in feather filling. The upholstery could not believe how it had gone, said they would order new inners. Finally end of June the inners were in, they only sent cheap old form which the upholstery could not fit. It is now middle of July and I am still waiting ...

I purchased 2 sofas at the Dartford SCS Sofas store in 2006. After being practically stalked around the store for an hour or so we found a sofa we liked and decided to buy. All was running smoothly until the salesman started forcing guardsman furniture protection onto us! it cost around £300 to have the 2 sofas 'coated' but we decided to go ahead as we have 2 small boys.
However, it is now 2009 and I have just called guardsman as the sofas are looking a little tired and dirty due to stain ...

We bought a 4 Seater Leather sofa and electrice reclining chair. After 10 days the leather started looking "distressed" after numerous telephone calls they sent an engineer out to look at it. After inpsection he subsequently produced s can of spray paint and asked my partner if he wanted him to respray the suite. We were horrified, and said no thanks mate. We have since been back to store at the Parkgate, Rotherham branch and was dealt with by someone who was extremely understanding and has ...

i spent £3000 on my matching pair of leather sofa's ,a very large 3 seat 'er and large 2 seat 'er. 4 days after delivery the whole seating area on the large 2 seat 'er completely collapse in , 7 days after delivery, the seating area on the large 3 seat er has gone baggy and saggy and out of shape.

    SCS Leather Corner Brooklyn Suite.
i have been battling with SCS head Office about my sofas since they arrived Nov 2007.
The sofas are made of very bad quality, and started sinking almost immediately.
I have different seating heights in the sofas, they are completely sinking and causing backache and so stressful.
Not what I expected of £2500 sofas!!
Twice there upholsterer came out and said nothing wrong until I had an independent upholsterer come round who agreed very poorly made.
    SCS kee ...

Oh my God this does not bode well for us after reading all your reviews. We bought our sofas in the SCS Sofas January sale. the ones in the showroom was perfect but when ours arrived it was not. One of the recliners has never worked and we are waiting for a part for that. The upholstery has sagged and is lumpy (its a leather sofaa and looks like it is about 10 years old after just 2 months of use). The seats do not line up properly and you can see the recliner mechanism because there are suc ...

Poor customer service at SCS Sofas. Blamed me for all the arms on my 2 x chairs and sofa looking like saggy old settee.

Took my money, and have now run ..... leaving me with a deteriating pile of furniture that I wouldn't give even to the refuge man.

After buying our 2 power recliner sofas I casually had a look at the reviews on this site and was quite horrified by what I read. This did not bode well for us, and having already committed to buying the sofas I kept quiet and waited. ' We were given a delivery date of 8 - 10 weeks and as the time approached I steeled myself for disappointment. 7 weeks and 4 days from the date of order I had a phone call to say that the sofas were in stock and to arrange a delivery date. A date was arranged for ...
