Got the sofa and foot stool a year ago . When it was delivered the wrong foot stool was delivered . Took another 8 weeks to get the foot stool we had fully paid for to come to there store and after all that time would not give us it as they had lost the wrong foot stool that they had first brought here in the first delivery. Purchased our sofa from SCS on this 19/01/14. After sitting in all day and the delivery drivers nearly not making delivery because they claimed they couldn't find my address, the sofa was wrong. Contacted my local SCS store to be told they would reorder a new sofa the following day. This was not the case, as I later found out the replacement sofa wasn't ordered until over a week later. “rubbish customer service.”

Ordered two display units and waited 6wks for delivery. Arrived but wrong units. Returned to store to be told can't collect for a week. Have had to store these huge units (in packaging) in my house. Kids are 4 and 5 with disabilities and we are struggling to move round house. Guess what? nobody arrived to collect units and now being told we have to store the units for another week!!! Got a delivered damaged electric recliner sofa which the delivery men said would be put right and ScS will contact me in a few days and even noted it on the delivery note. I waited 2 weeks without contact and contacted their customer services who denied any knowledge and said they would send out an upholsterer in 3 weeks. I totally concur with this reviewer. I had exactly the same experience with an SCS electric recliner which never worked from day1. During their attempted first repair - which failed - their repairer received an electric shock. During the second attempt 2 weeks later the repairer tried to connect bare wires to the frame of the sofa. When challenged he admitted he had no idea what he was doing and was an upholsterer with no electrical qualifications. Cutting a long story short I eventually received a full refund after resorting to a solicitor and the credit card company under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act. SCS are a 'shocking' company with an appalling customer service department and you should avoid them as you would avoid the plague!

So i brought sofas, they said theyd give me a discount, pretty sure they just added it to the warranty costs! Plus their delivery is appauling. Ordered a sofa bed in Wednesbury after considerable pressure from a salesman. I needed the sofa bed ASAP as I was moving in with a friend and had no where to sleep. The sales made made a point of 'ringing the manufacturer' before coming back and confirming that it would be delivered in 3 weeks. “Could'nt care less attiude.”

Three piece suite changed three times before we were satisfied,Decided to have a recliner chair,what a joke!!!!The leg rest is not a complete cushion from end to end of chair,it is a small like kneeling pad on the end of two sticks with a wide space in between.Apart from that it is dangerous when you stand up this pad can shoot out and knock you over,not recommended for elderly persons as could lead to accident.We are told by SCS that is the way in which they make them that being the case shop… Read Full Review

“Broken trust”

Ordered an Endurance chaise sofa from SCS 27 December 2013. Changed colour from red twice in the following week which we were told was fine within 7 days from order. Our final order was brown. When first sofa was delivered in March it was red. Refused delivery and manufacturers accepted responsibility so SCS did not suffer. Had another 3 month wait. Purchased the diablo 2+ 3 seater manual reclining sofas on 29th Dec 2013 on 4 years interest free credit. Sofas delivered march 2014. Me and my partner bought a Danni Corner sofa in the SCS collection back in the beginning of the year, arranging delivery for the 27th June - 4 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. At the time there was a promotion for a free carpet with any sofas over a certain value ours was £1000 therefore we qualified. “Sold rubbish again.”

I bought a Lazeboy leather recliner sofa and chair October 2012, 18months later it's ready for the scrap heap unless I pay £75 call out charge . The recliner chair has sunk the leather has worn badly. The two sweater sofa the seat has sunk on one side, as we are pensioners and had to save up 2years for this I think it is disgraceful that no one wants to know unless we pay again to find out why this has happened.
