Great product, annoying sales dept, brilliant installations dept.

The sales pitch got a bit annoying, as I'd already decided I thought £2k was a fair price and found the 'negotiating' down from £5k & phoning his boss every 5 minutes a bit pointless. Also they seem to have the reps desperately trying to get you to take out insane finance packages.

However, I shouldn't let that taint what has been a really good purchase. The installers did an absolutely brilliant job for me, in pretty difficult circumstances, and the windows themselves were top quality (noticeably better than any others in my block, even from the outside).

A salesman from Weatherseal showed up on time last week at 8pm to give a a quote for our 10 windows. I originally entered their free competition online and was told someone would need to give us an estimate just in case we do win... Long pitch about how great the company was, demonstration on their products (well made I have to admit) and where they fit in the market. It is only about 11pm that our salesman start uncovering the price for the job. Staring really high at 20k and then throwing disc ...

Just had a weatherseal rep visit following a phone call advising that the company was looking for 'feature homes in the area to offer 'free' double glazing. We were number 11 out of 12 for the offer. Interested to hear what that was about. Not free, but after installation, depending on the other properties that had signed up for this offer, I might have received the cost back, after payment. The rep said that I obviously had not understood their sales consultant when she phoned. First ...

My 76 year old father (cancer patient and previous stroke) was pressured into signing a contract for 4No downstairs windows for £5250 (bloody expensive) and also credit with Hitachi Capital (£5700). The total payable for the 4No windows was almost £11000.....96 months (8 years) at £113!!!
This is no way to treat a pensioner!!
The credit is more than the bloody windows themselves!!

The £5250 for the windows was seemingly including a previous customer discount since ...

I decided to take the plunge and get some sash windows fitted. Having shopped around online, I requested a quote from Weatherseal, and was more than happy with their very competitive price. As surveyor was sent out to make a report on the job. He arrived on time and was happy to discuss a range of options with me. The job was arranged around my busy schedule and completed on time. I was hesitant that the windows might look too 'new' on my country home, but I was delighted with the result. ...

On Sunday a Weather Seal Sales consultant came to our house to give a quite for 3 windows, when my wife picked herself up at the cost quoted she said inocently she would rather pay for the roof doing. Straight away the sales consultant started pricing for facias and guttering even though they had only been replaced 2 years before (and this is so obvious)at the end of a 2 hour visit he somehow managed to get my otherwise shrewd wife to sign a credit agreement for almost £6000 pounds for wor ...

Weatherseal are an AWFUL company to use! The salesman came to my house at 4.30pm and did not leave til 6.30pm, his pitch was pretty poor and he kept answering his mobile which was totally rude! We really needed the french doors installed so signed the agreement which he advised included the job being completed in no more than 4.5hrs, and if it were to take longer another team would be sent out to ensure it was done in the quickest time possible. It was also in the agreement that a radiator we ...

Weatherseal conned me into a credit agreement with Hitachi which would have cost me 3 times as much as the windows cost. Salesman said nothing to pay for 2 years with £2,000 cashback, then payments start. He stressed, after questioning from me that I would not have to pay any interest. I had the money to pay for the windows, but he said I should just keep it in my own bank account. After windows were fitted I got a letter from Hitachi to say that they were going to start taking payments ...

Weatherseal are a company that fitted our new windows & doors, it took them 14days to complete 7 windows & 2 doors! Windows arrived too small & were fitted while waiting for proper one to arrive, doors were damaged, handles were damaged & they were not rectified at any speed! They are the worst company ever to do business with!!!!

Windows are not installed properly, facias all need to be removed repacked and facias replaced, gale force wind howling through the gaps, reported faults over 10 weeks ago to Weather Seal customer services, who still can't give me a date to fix them and just keep giving me excuses

Weatherseal agreed to do a free quote for windows knowing i the homeowner would not be there. when they arrived they were rude and aggresive and called my partner a liar for saying i was going to be there, at no time did she speak to them. This company should be AVOIDED at all costs. I wish i had done the googling before calling them

Had a Weatherseal Rep round today. Firstly He was late. He talked for an hour and rubbished every other company and their products under the sun. Then started with a sales pitch which involved getting on his 'boss' on the phone who had to speak to my girlfriend (only able to speak to person who originally booked Visit) preceded to pressure her into her making a decision today with one day only discounts etc.

Would not measure or issue a quote unless we agreed we would sign up for windows toda ...

Like other reviewers, I got the 'patter' pitch for about 2.5 hours... The Weather Seal guy started with the most ridiculously high prices, which proceeded to plummet, with him asking what I'd want to pay... What was my 'bottom line'! I wouldn't say initially, and when I eventually said I wouldn't pay more than £x, he came down to it and below! Then a few calls to the 'boss' to check. Can't their salesmen make a decision without constant calls - he made 3 from my hallway, of which I could ...

Would not recommend anybody to use Weather Seal as I feel they are dishonest. However, they may well have a good product but I think their sales patter is just trying to con as much out of you as possible. All you want is an honest quote.

Weather Seal visited my house,i happily made the appointment and got on great with the rep,i now have a full fitted house of windows full of quality the price doesn't matter my windows needed done i got them for £8250 they are the best investment so far.if i had been quoted £3000 by a diff company but it is terrible products they use and i wouldn't want 2 put windows worth £3000 in a 47 grand house that would probably decrease the value

The whole experience has been a bit of a nightmare, would I recommend Weatherseal to somebody, probably not, knowing how many times they messed up our order and had to remake it, and that its still not resolved to our satisfaction, knowing how awful the customer services people are, I would feel incredibly guilty if I told a friend to get in touch. Its a real shame because the window fitters are lovely, and the windows themselves look really nice.

Weather Seal were very prompt & keen on the phone. Turned up when they said they would. Very nice salesman. not one to waffle. Straight to the point and as usual, quoted high and came down.
I needed 2 tilt & turn bedroom windows with hardwood surrounds. I signed up for the deal at £400 per window inc Vat & fitting. Not bad as the first quote was £2200 all in.
It's a buyers market and he who has the cash is king, but don't give it away.
Do the research and hold firm for a deal and ...
