Good Points: Neat brushed metal case, just right temp for a leg warmer, nice feel and weight. No problems with it. Fine for general work, internet and videos.
Bad Points: Can be slow with heavy applications. Some of the sockets in the back feel like they might push through. Power socket doesn't always go right in and its then on battery till I realise. Don't like touch mouse as I catch it when I'm typing fast. Not keen on Acer control software. Also the hard drive is partitioned so that the Acer software is on a separate partition which is a nuisance. Not much RAM in basic product bought extra to make 512MB.
General comments: Bought it over a year ago but its not been used a real lot. It's been reliable, even though I've fiddled about with modems, wireless and quite a few add-ons. This one is a £399 Comet version and has no built in wireless, 1.5GHz chip and 40GB Hard Drive. Relative to prices a few years ago its a gift and is probably all most people really need.
Fine with Office and videos and sound from say YouTube. Works with my USB Freeview adaptor OK although sometimes it thinks about my selections for a while. Same with DVDs it plays them well but if you get carried away with shuffling and changing things it stops to think and might stall.
I am very happy with this laptop.
