Good Points: The stunning views over Loch Lomond, the friendly staff, real ales, quality of meat and Swordfish, unusual dishes (my wife had the chef's signature dish - invented in a bar in Nairobi)! After dinner liqueur coffees, and a relaxed atmosphere. New wines and out of the ordinary spirits made the pre, during and after dinner drinks good fun. Overall price for what we consumed was more reasonable than expected.
Bad Points: In the middle of nowhere; found it by accident, and we weren't really sure where we were when we got there, or the fact that we could actually eat there. We initially stopped to ask if someone could point us in the direction of a restaurant. It was very warm in the restaurant, and staff said they couldn't keep the side doors open because of the bugs flying around. Although the food was excellent, we all felt there was not a wide enough range of dishes. Could have done with a few more puddings etc.
General comments: Stunning scenery, all the meals looked and tasted fantastic, the decor was fun and inviting, and we would recommend The Osprey Rooms in Loch Lomond to anyone who is ever venturing into that area. They could do with more signage and a little more music (same CD all night), but overall we were very impressed and will go back next time we are up there.
