Good Points: Ray Charles is great, but with these other great artists joining them its even better!
Bad Points: Nope, no bad points!
General comments: This is a great album! You just can't beat Ray Charles for a start, but when he is joined by people such as Norah Jones, BB King, Van Morrison, Elton John and Diana Krall, it gets even better!
Genius Loves Company is a collection of duets on popular songs such as 'Here we go again', 'Fever', 'Sorry seems to be the Hardest Word' and 'Crazy Love'. This is lovely easy listening music with chilled out vocals and a nice range of different instruments being used all over the album. The other singers, whether their voices are a contrast with Ray Charles or a more close match, really work well on every occasion with Charles' unique voice.
This album is great if you love Ray Charles' voice, like some swinging and chilled out music and are a fan of good vocal orientated songs. It's pure quality with so many different talented artists singing such beautiful songs and I would definitely recommend this for a lot of occasions, but definitely for any romantic night in, a lazy Sunday afternoon or just on a long train journey.
