    Good Points: Exceptional service, outstanding food and wonderful decor


    Bad Points: A little limited range on the menu


    General comments: Cafe Neptune is a wonderful place to eat fine food. The deserts were out of this world! The fish is local and exceptional well prepared. Fully recommend it.

    My husband and I ate here in July 2008. I had read one glowing review on the restaurant and had high hopes for the standard of cuisine, however I was a little disappointed.

    We both had starters and main courses and they were both fairly average - I had smoked salmon with salad (brown edges had not been removed) and he had moules mariniere which were very small and the sauce tasted mainly of wine with not much other flavour. Our main courses were okay, him game, me fish, but the veg were over ...

    Cafe Neptune has a great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended!
