I've had my Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE people carrier for 8 months, and it is very economical. The one problem I had is that the spare wheel has been stolen, and Vauxhall don't care. This is a common problem with these cars as the wheel is kept in a cradle under the boot, and anyone with a screwdriver, or a strong arm, can reach under the car and open the cradle to steal the wheel. When you ring Vauxhall, they don't care, as you have to buy a new wheel from them, and extra security which ...- Read Hazel Winters's review (105 words)

We have had this Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE people carrier for a few months having previously had a Galaxy. What a revelation!
Whilst its a bit noisier than the Galaxy its so much more practical. Its smaller, so much easier to park and the seating arrangement allows the car to be turned from a seven seater into a van in about 30 seconds. The biggest problem with the Galaxy and ALL other cars of that type is the requirement to remove AND store the seats which are heavy, so you often don't ...- Read M Glazer's review (142 words)

I hired an 04 reg Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE people carrier to carry myself, wife, 2 teenage sons, my daughter & fiance to Scotland for a weeks holiday. The severe lack of luggage space allowed us only 2 medium sized cases (1 in rear space,1 resting on arm rest between middle row seats) and a couple of holdalls.
When accelerating to keep up with traffic, especially on dual carriageways / motorways, the need to get into 5th gear quickly to maintain acceleration was annoying.
On the plus ...- Read brucei497's review (117 words and 1 comment)

I have had a Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE People Carrier for about three months now and quite often do trips lasting up to three hours or more. I found out very quickly that at 6 foot I am far to tall to drive it comfortably. The drivers seat is to low and close to the pedals causing intense back and leg ache (there is more leg room in a Corsa).
It does't matter what speed you try and take a corner at, you can go as slow as you like the car will still feel as if it is trying it's hardest to ...- Read Sipnogard's review (273 words)

The key stuck in the ignition and the car is only 25 months old. This is not covered on the warranty neither is the stearing column which has to be replaced at a cost of £700 so that the lock can be changed. Customer care "dont care" they say its down to wear & tear. 3 dealerships have had a go at this. Now getting very frustrated.- Read bmwman's review (73 words)

The Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE is bland boring, feels slightly unsafe to drive - a bit exposed. Slow heating all that space. Legroom is insufficient unless only kids in the back. Needs a side sliding door. No luggage space. Overall buy something else.- Read Blooman's review (61 words and 2 comments)

Bought this Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE about 2 weeks ago and i can say that it is the most flexable car i have ever owned. The seating options leave it open for any purpose, like shopping, going to the tip, buying kitchen worktops, taking the family to the airport for holidays (with ALL their luggage!) the options are endless. Although on the downside, these 1.8 16v models have a rather annoying fault that the car will cut out or stall when the throttle housing get a bit dirty, and the only ...- Read mchurchill's review (243 words and 1 comment)

Got a Y-plate, 28k 1.8 manual.
Like the previous review I love the way that you can do away with the 2 seats in the rear and the midlle row without having to take any out - several trips to the dump have not been as bad a problem as clearing up the mess in the back after rtning !. Maybe should have gone for the TD version as 25mpg is a little steep - but I guess thats what you get for driving a small van. Even on the M-way 35mpg is tops.
Only probs I've had with this Network-q vehicle was an a ...- Read Alain's review (142 words)

The Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 Comfort SE is an excellent, practical family car. So versatile. So what if it doesn't look as chic as a Scenic, they ain't got 7 seats !!. A massive boot in 5 seat mode, loads of leg, shoulder and headroom in all seats, Can't ask for more. The SE has AC, ABS, TC, CD, full electrics, dual airbags, alloys, front fogs, metallic paint.- Read bill_belfield's review (90 words and 7 comments)
