We are delighted with our Moon, which we bought as soon as they were available. Everything is washed on 30C in 30 minutes, saving us lots of electricity and time. We haven't needed any service or support. It is a neat design and not too deep, so fits well in under the workspace. It's wonderfully simple to use. It doesn't have a 'spin only' option but when a wash only takes 30 minutes this is not a problem.

I bought this item, because, one it looked funky and was also advertised on tv. This is the worst electrical item i have ever bought. the first year it was ok. but it constantly stinks!!! doesnt matter how much time you clean it with all hotpoint cleaning materials, bleach etc etc it stinks. rubber seals mouldly and inside seal covered in limescale after every wash. spoke to complaints dept and indesit not helpful as warranty had ran out. washing machine only 16months old. total waste of &p ...

I wish I'd researched more thoroughly before I bought it - I've never wasted so much money on something as uttely rubbish as the Moon Washing Machine. Only 3 wash programmes: 30 degrees cold wash which takes half an hour, 40 degrees warm wash that takes 1 hour and 45 minutes and 60 degrees 'hot' wash that takes 3 hours and 45 minutes. We now have to plan when we do the washing as it takes so long! Even then, the clothes never seem clean - probs because we can only wash clothes on a 40 degrees i ...

I say good riddance to my Indesit Moon, a complete waste of money today after 18 months. mould on clothes from seal that no ammount of bleach or cleaning will get rid of. when you start poking around the seal it is a mould mine field. I bought it for ease of use and looks I will never buy any Indesit product again.at £100 to replace seal for it to happen again is more money wasted, I reccommended it to my daughter who has the same problems and is equally dissapointed with hers. be warned a ...

Within 6 to 8 months the rubber seal started turning black. This indesit moon machine needs a higher wash temperature to clean out all the detergent residue. An advisor at Indesit told us that because washing machines use less water these days the rubber seals are being stained very quickly from the residue. An engineer would cost £100 to replace the seal and it would probably happen again. We bought it 18 months ago and are already looking at buying a new washing machine as our clothes ha ...

I have read these reviews as I was looking for an answer as to why my Indesit Moon washing machine seems to take more than 4 hours to run through a 40 degree wash cycle. Even then I have to switch it off and run a 30 degree programme in order to try to get the washing into a state where I can put it into my tumble dryer. I also suffer the problems listed by eveyone else. Black mouldy seals, sludgy brown door and if I use powder it leaves chalk like blobs on my clothes meaning I have to run anoth ...

The self cleaning dispenser constantly has to be cleaned. The clothes are always stained with a black sludge. The seal is turning black and to top things off the concreat plate has just fallen through on the spin cycle and totaly destroyed the entire machine along with some of the clothes inside. I have now had to pay a service enginer £100 to come an examine it. This Indesit Moon is the worst washing machine i have ever bought.

This Indesit Moon washing machine is advertised as having a 1400 rpm spin speed. What the adverts don't say is that this is only available on the 60deg 145min programme. Totally unsuitable for ordinary clothing. The spin speed of the 40 deg and 30 deg programmes is 1000 and 800 respectively. The clothes are so damp when they come out it will cost a fortune in the tumble dryer over the winter. There is no facility for spinning only.

My Indesit Moon is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Always marks on washing what ever type of washing powder or liquid I use. No quick wash or spin only.

This Indesit Moon is driving me crazy. The smell from it is horrendous. The door seal is covered in brown gunge and the seal on the outside in black mouldy which I've tried to remove without success. Massive mistake buy ... bought for the look really and regret it!

i did like this Indesit Moon machine. have had it for about 18 months but, like everyone else it seems, my laundry is coming out speckled with grey sludge (and today it was marked with black). anyway, good friends have advised that i put in some vinegar or soda crystals and do a boil wash. unfortunately there is no boil wash program, i wonder if it would be as effective on a 60?... the 60 wash cycle is very long by the way. i totally given up using it. the 60 is also the only program that gives ...

have had indesit moon since september 08, it was fine to begin with but then in february 09 the problems started. self cleaning dispenser is not self cleaning, i am constantly taking it out and cleaning it myself as detergeant does not wash away, washing powder is not dissolved properly and leaves small specks of powder on the clothes. the rubber seal is going black and mouldy and where the detergeant is not being dissolved properly there is a grey slimy deposit in the rim of the door opening, r ...

This Indesit Moon machine has been a nightmare. When it goes into the spin cycle it nearly destroys the floor and bolts out the door. While the clothes do get cleaned, there is always water in the dispenser. Not a fan, will be returning and getting something that wont need to be held down whilst spinning the clothes.

Well i brought the Indesit Moon as my wife liked the look but it don't perform as gud as it looks. I knew when i brought this machine it had not got a spin only cycle but what i did'nt know is it only spins great on 60 wash what takes 145mins to complete. If you put it on 30 wash the clothes are soaking wet when finished. Overall i would not have brought this machine but its our fault for not looking at any reviews as it has loads of bad ones but hey misteaks are made.

i have lost count of the amount of times that a have have to re-wash because the washing powder hasn't washed out. i have changed soap powder brands but ended up using liquid. i'm still not convinced that the Indesit Moon washes properly.
    no 'spin only' function, grrrr....!
not being able to look into the machine is real wind-up, even now after a year or so.

It's a shame to read all the negative reviews. We've had this for over six months now and have been extremely impressed with the machine. I do take the point about high spin speed only being available on hotter washes, but this has never caused us a problem and, properly loaded, we've not really noticed any extra tumble dryer action. The machine looks really good and is just so simple to use, it's a joy after the previous programmable one that I had to read instructions for! Washing comes out cl ...
