General comments: The time had come for a second gas blowback pistol to use in the back garden and at the farm to plink with - right from the start I started looking into the Glock range because I find them more interesting than other models with the unique trigger and other features.
Already owning two KSC/KWA gas blowbacks, I opted for the same manufacturer once more because of the build quality and affordable prices that they offer.
I ordered the gun on a Monday and received it on the Thursday, which was slightly slower than expected on a next day delivery schedule.
The gun itself only costs £65 from Airsoft Armoury, which is very cheap for a pistol with a metal top slide I thought. In the same order I added a spare magazine and some green gas, which bought the final price up to £103 including post and packing. This is very cheap considering that other models in the KSC range such as the Heckler & Koch USP cost around £150 if you want the metal top slide option.
So the gun itself - I opened the box and saw almost what I expected - the pistol was slightly smaller and more compact than I imagined but this is a good point. It came with a KSC Glock 17 manual, speed loader and hop up tool - all are standard.
There are some issues with the build quality however. When the top slide is locked back, shaking the gun even slightly will result in a rattle as the barrel is not secure and slides about. With the top slide forward, the gun feels a lot more solid - the barrel isn't a problem in this position, although the top slide still rattles slightly when the gun is shaken. Apart from this, the build quality seems alright but not brilliant - the magazines are much more solid, and feel much higher in quality than the gun itself.
I also feel let down over the fact that there are no markings on the top slide, but this is no big issue with me as the gun already looks real enough.
Accuracy - not bad considering the plastic ammunition. I can hit a lager can from ten yards with most shots - I think the accuracy is affected more by the wind than the shooter. I personally use 0.20g ammunition in my BB guns, but the 0.25 ones might be more accurate.
So to conclude, so far I've emptied a good five magazines through my KWA Glock 19 and it's holding up to the power of green gas well. When I shoot this gun I immediately forget about all the little niggles it has, because it's a lot of fun - I don't think I'll ever get bored with it. This is better than a lot of similar guns that cost twice as much, so my advice would be to save the money and go for the KWA Glock 19.
Recommended to all airsofters and plinkers alike.
